They'll use it even if there aren't any griffons, they probably just ran out of mana or something. They tend to use it as soon as any member of the party dies though, so it doesn't help them very much. User:Ubiquitous 67.240.217.93 17:54, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Was vanqing and came apon a group with a singer and a couple rangers and warriors (no griffon). Killed off the melee and then moved to the ranged ones and singer was one of the last to drop. Killed him but noticed I had a couple warriors beating on me again and was like wtf? Figured the singer musta slipped it in so came here after the vanq.
