Never seen this used[edit]
I've never seen anyone use this term. — Raine Valen 21:58, 1 Feb 2011 (UTC)
- I would still say it is worth keeping, being the opposite of hard res. --'Mai Yi' talk 22:01, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- I would say it's not, since hard res can refer to a number of skills whereas a 'soft res' is... res sig. And nobody uses this. --129.161.204.31 22:04, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- I use it all the time, as do many of my friends and guildies. (Otherwise, I wouldn't have created the page.) I've also seen game guides use the term...and I've also seen it used outside of Guild Wars (if it's critical for discussing this, I'll find specific references, but for now I ask that you assume good faith).
- The most frequent usage is in a group with members relative new to specific missions with frequent morale boosts. A ranger might be requested to drop a hard rez and replace it with a soft one. (In fact, embarrassingly enough, someone suggested just that to me recently.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:10, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Well as I said I haven't seen it and I initially interpreted the reasoning as 'hard needs an opposite,' but if it's used then it's used. --129.161.204.31 22:26, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Gonna agree with raine, never heard the term soft res because in most cases there is only one for pve and one for pvp, and they are just res sigs... --frostels 22:31, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- "The term "hard res" is used to refer to resurrection skills that can be used multiple times; conversely, "soft res" denotes resurrection skills that can be used only once and recharge only under special circumstances (such as the Resurrection Signet). " — GWW's Resurrection article
I hope that qualifies as a sufficient reference; this wiki has used the term for at least 3 years. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:43, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
