Talk:Spirit of the Forgotten
It seems to be meant for use with Conjure Lightning. Paddymew 09:25, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- No, it's meant for casters that use it to boost spells, and don't use it for attacking. Backsword 09:39, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Its a caster spear... practically all pro pvp/pve casters use them (+5e and 20% enchant) and being the only green caster spear, i'd say it was one of the most useful. Elvynd Doomscythe 16:28, 10 January 2010
- Fail even as a caster spear lightning dmg stacks with MoP --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.222.96.57 (talk).
The Spearhead of the caster spear is irrelevant, as long as it isn't Vampiric or Zealous, since it isn't actually used for attacking. "Enchantments last 20% longer" is a must have modifier for any serious monking in both PvE and PvP. For example, it lengthens a 20-second Protective Spirit by 4 seconds, and a 10-second Aegis by 2 seconds. The "Energy +5" modifier isn't as important, but it's the best of the available inscriptions for a caster, as casters don't need damage-plus modifiers. As for myself, I spent the book I got to this spear and I intend to use it until I find a cooler looking one. --Teisei 「ページ」 「会話」 23:08, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
- (+5e always) is the best inscription on any weapon reguarding the +energy mods. To be honest it wouldnt have hurt my feelings if they placed silencing(thunderclap, fevered dreams, technobabble, dont think these exisisted/in current form when NF was released), fire(MoR) or maybe furious?(for those wierd casters who like to "wand" and maybe drop SY! once in a while?, also physical = Necro[hell even weaken/poisoness/barbed would have worked] enchant/hexes). Just saying, dont think lightning dmg triggers anything anymore(unless you have some fetish for iron mist) but perhaps glimmering mark was still lightning dmg = blind back then?
