Talk:The Mindstealer
Have had no joy getting this to drop, especially considering the # of times I've tried during this special "green double drop weekend."
Having completed nightfall without completing the quest requiring KOSS to speak with hedge allowed the night fallen to return to its original look. (not to mention access thereto) Although not being able to acquire this item, (and I am a very patient and persistent player) I began wondering if there is a glitch which prevents boss dropping of green items if you do not follow the story line as the game anticipates.
I'm going to keep trying to get this to drop, but when I'm getting green drops after 4-15 tries all weekend, and none in the "restored" Garden of Seborhin after 40 plus attempts so far I'm beginning to have serious doubts.
My advice, if you value this weapon (and there are some good things to like about it) - pick it up BEFORE you complete Nightfall -and forget retaining access.
Will do some further testing with other bosses in the area, and see how successful I am at getting ANY green weapons or foci to drop with this same character that I've been currently working with.
In the meantime, will just secure the weapon with a character that follows the story line - no real reason to "retain access" to the Garden after NF completion anyway. Of course that assumes you don't want to farm 6x lightbringer points for the djinn and ether beasts in HM after nightfall is finished for your character. But why farm lightbringer points when you've beaten nightfall anyway? Seems useless to me, but- whatever stirs your cocoa- must be title that would keep people pursuing. Why here for lightbringer title as a primary title farming area, I have no idea. Glad to have more insight if you are having different results, or know more about the game play / mechanics than myself. I'm a GW's noob, (First year present last birthday) so I know most of you know a lot more about this than I do; all comments, ideas, criticisms, are welcome and appreciated. 24.23.36.34 14:09, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
