If your quick with it you can jack a lvl 15 Elder Tiger or a Crane from the yetis in Pogmei Passage.99.204.66.108 01:46, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

yea that wsas proven in october 08 check history of Pongmei valley--Lord randy taylor 05:19, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

My Guide to Stealing an Elder Tiger or Crane (since it wasn't as simple as described):[edit]

1. Give each of your heroes an interrupt skill and replace any skills that could deal AOE damage to passive mobs.

2. Enter Pongmei Valley from Boreas Seabed and flag your heroes to the Tiger/Crane spawn point, while you stay at the gate.

3. Bring up your heroes' skill bars, set them to 'fight' mode and set them to use their interrupts next.

4. Run in and cast Charm Animal. A speed boost will probably help but I managed without.

5. Hopefully you now have a pet, rezone and keep trying if not. Ebirah 02:01, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Sorry the description was'nt that clear, I just pretty much copyed and pasted it from another wiki page about another pet. You don't really need to do all that, just make sure that you have no AoE skills like you said. Just select the flag marker and then press "U" to get up the mision map and flag your heros/hench to the Yeti. Then give your party enough time to get there before setting off towards them. After the Yeti have spawned (triggered by you entering compass range) and been killed by your party, you should be left with an unowned Elder Pet. Flag your party away and then charm it.
The Yeti will have attacked your party instead of charming the pets, attacking your party was a higher priority. The interrupts arn't really necessary buy will work just as well. It's also easyer to charm the pet without your party fightying around you. Anyway, theres enough info here that I think anyone could work it out now, lol.

You realize i got that put on wiki Pongmei valley section last year, (old account remade cause of typo in name) but i prooved that and put it up on wiki last year i belive early october(19th to be exact)plus you forgot that you haveto get just ooutside compass range for monstetrs to spawn and then you can tame it--Lord randy taylor 05:09, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

I don't think it works anymore[edit]

By the time heroes get there the elder tiger (or elder crane) has already been charmed. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.19.42.118 (talk).

I've done this method many times.. but also doesn't appear to be working at the moment. curious - either I'm out of pet capture practise or the mechanics of the yeti have been changed. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 21:17, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
It looks like the yetis actually spawn now, instead of just being there. With the heroes flagged at the correct spot I had to enter compass range for the yetis to appear ( on top of my heroes ) and I luckily ran in to capture it. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 21:24, 19 December 2009 (UTC)

New Instructions for Charming pre-evolved elder tiger[edit]

  • Flag heroes and henchmen to spot closest to Boreas marked on the tiger map, creep your character forwards once heroes are in place to get yeti to pop up so that heroes can kill them. As soon as you see they are popped move back out of compass range.
  • Wait til heroes and henchmen have stopped taking damage ( all clear ) and move forward to hopefully capture your new elder pet.--File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 22:15, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Again if its not broken don't try to fix it, the instructions on the page are perfect as is, no need for editing on it, primarily since you just said exactly whats been on it in exactly the same manner--Lord Randy 22:45, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Before sniping comments try the technique. herocap no longer works due to some changes in the nature of the spawn.--File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 23:14, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the excellent explanation! With that and the note above about giving everyone an interrupt (I used Leech Signet for simplicity), I was able to get both pets in only three tries. Might have been faster if I'd been able to flag to the southwestern point accurately enough--guess I probably should have set my heroes to fight instead of guard to compensate. 67.80.218.38 09:21, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

No increased movement speed[edit]

Has anyone ever noticed/heard about this? - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 18:57, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Since no one comfirms it, not even the editor, i'll remove the anomaly. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 15:26, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
it is true u can easily test it by taking storm chaser and tiger then using storm chaser and watch how the tiger is left behind every second, then try this with any other pet which wont be left behind but will keep up with ur pase of 25% ims. the reason i didnt confirm this earlier was the fact that i had problems knowing how:/ The preceding unsigned comment was added by Toms93 (talk) at 07:17, 04 March 2010 (UTC).
