Anyone up for AoE Bspike?--74.61.209.219 21:38, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Right...... and with a two second casting time, fifteen energy cost, and need fifteen points into blood magic to even do a considerable amount of damage (which brings your other attributes very low and with the rest of blood magic casting time, I would hardly even consider it a spike). Yeah right, having your entire build based around this skill is rather pointless for a spike.William Wallace 04:53, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

I'd hate to burst your bubble, but what blood spike necros would have a low amount of points in blood magic, and since when have necros had energy problems? The general usage of blood spike is to use a long cast damaging spell (or signet) as the initial damager, and then follow up with something like Vampiric Gaze. — Galil Talk page 04:57, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
they are projectiles in the sense they need time to reach the target, but they can't miss. lussh 14:50, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
yes, being stated as a projectile is wrong, as they cannot miss...additionally, you can't see them, right? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 00:05, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Blood spike necromancers are very fragile and can never recover enough health even with mass life stealing to sustain heavy amounts of damage, also necromancers always have problems with energy in pvp because the majority of opposing teams bring monks or ritualist (occasionally elementals) to heal the life stealing so deaths are never constant and soul reaping is always unreliable for energy management, and last vampiric gaze stills so little health that one word of healing can out heal six attacks from that skill alone. If anything they can't split so already right there a full blood magic team will already be at a disadvantage.William Wallace 11:43, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

And yet bspike wins top 100 GvGs almost daily. Odd, isn't it? Splitting rarely works well in practice, especially with all the flimsy stand-build-plus-healer split teams trying to suffice now. -Auron 11:49, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

AoE =[edit]

The third hit from this is in the area of where the second one hit. You can see for yourself that it does. Go to the Isle of the Nameless to the ring with the Practice Target and cast Vampiric Swarm on the In the Area dummy with nothing next to it. It will first hit that one, then hit Practice Target, then hit the In the Area on the opposite side. <>208.117.81.49 12:04, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Redundancy![edit]

Respectively? You mean people might think the third packet comes before the second one? Ch8ese 07:55, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

The time delay between skill usage and the skill hitting foes to steal life is pretty significant when it comes to deciding whether or not to use the skill. If its just a wording problem, change it - if we think its worse we'll revert + explain on the talk page. -Chieftain Alex 14:14, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
