this guy has Smoke trap, if he dies you can cap it --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:71.195.42.77 .
- if it's just dust trap, you don't need to waste a Signet of Capture on getting it. It's not an elite skill. Save your Signet of Captures for elite skills only, and anything else you can buy from a skill trainer. Good idea, but it's not necessary.
- He meant Smoke Trap, which is an elite. Kyrasantae 19:28, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
- Tried this on Apr 27, 2008. I opened the cell and Veldrunner died, but I couldn't cap the Elite and also didn't receive a 2% boost, as mentioned on the main page. So I believe this exploit has been closed by Anet.Shaolin Steve 16:36, 27 April 2008 (EDT)
- I actually didn't even suspect this to be an exploit. It's the only (from the beginning on) allied NPC with boss aura, isn't it? —ZerphaThe Improver 22:26, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

- Why kill this guy? He's a very experienced centaur, and probably the ONLY boss in the entire trilogy that fights with you. I respect him deeply. - Guest
Morale Boost lol[edit]
Yay! Our strong centaur ally is dead! Let us feast on the marrow of his bones! Or is it more like IWAY? :D Paddymew 16:59, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, it's not like you feast on the enemy bosses' marrow either. It's exactly what it says on the tin: A moral boost from defeating the boss. As for this peculiar Veldrunner Centaur, my guess is that the attitude goes something like: "Good riddance. Never liked that guy's guts anyways." 91.19.0.204 15:49, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
