Template talk:Research needed

anyone see a method of getting this to work? at the moment it just pastes in the raw code :/ example basically I was hoping it would show up as
[[Category:Research needed]] <!-- What is the type of elemental damage dealt -->

- Perhaps I should remove the #if statement? File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 11:40, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Why not arrange it so that the template adds the category and we just use an unnamed parameter to specify the reason. This is what we do with {{sic}}, e.g. {{sic|missing an apostrophe}} → The template works fine and the reason for its inclusion is embedded in the template.
- In this case, we would type, {{Research needed|what type of elemental damage is dealt?}}, which would display no text, but add the article to category:research needed. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 11:48, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Sure thats a fine solution. I plan to run some cleanup on the 108 pages in the category, continuing what I started last night.. whenever I find the time and haven't got deadlines due in :p e.g. this friday.
