Paragons NEED Some Love[edit]

Paragons are ridiculously underpowered right now. I know Guild Wars 2 is coming out soon, but as of now Paragons have no niche not already filled by Rangers, Casters, or Warriors. They seem to be 1/4 Ranger, 1/4 Caster(s), and 1/4 Warrior. This means they are about as useful as 3/4 of a characters without a specialized group. I believe paragons have the potential to be equal to the other Guild Wars classes if they receive some buffs; for instance, I have never seen a Paragon out-damage a Dervish or Assassin or Ranger even when they are specialized in spears. This is a problem. They receive better bonuses when going with a 11-11-8 or a 12-10-8 attribute distribution pattern rather than specializing - making them less than useful in, once again, non-specialized groups. Nor do they have the healing or damage output to make it out there without a group. In fact, R/P has been widely known to be a better damage dealer than any P/class character because R/P has spears, and access to conditions, pets, IAS, etc. that Paragons generally do not have. Even a W/P has become popular in some arenas because of the new Soldier's stances. D/P have also gained some movement as they can get the strong support skills of a Dervish without having to go into melee with a Scythe (even if the Scythe has better damage output). Paragons used to be decent but were thought to be overpowered with their several-roled base, while in reality they had no niche in a normal group that actually needed to be filled; they were simply the "excess". Warriors have several roles; Rangers have even more; Monks have a very important role; Dervishes and Assassins just deal damage generally; Necromancers can fill several roles; Mesmers can even do more than Paragons in PvE and ESPECIALLY PvP with good timing; Rits can do wonders with their spirits; Elementalists are spikers and nukers. Everyone has a defined role. But no matter what, Paragons do not meet up to be a damage dealer, supporter, or a tank. They are simply... misfits, as of now. And thus the Paragon needs to be reformed.
