Introduction[edit]

General tactics[edit]

Capturing[edit]

Capturing is usually done in specially designed groups.
These capgroups consist of a Healer and at least one nuker.
Whatever the other 2 party members will be highly depends on the current map and flavor.
To be successful in a capgroup every party member should have at least one IMS.

Another way to capture shrines is solocapping.
Solocappers are (most of the time) Elemenalists running Nuker builds, like they would in a capgroup.
The only difference is that this time they are on their own, allowing the rest of the team to capture another shrine.
The big pro of this kind of capturing is that 1 team of 4 will be able to capture 2 shrines at once.
The downside is that capturing (especially for the elementalist) will be at a much slower pace,
and as if that isn't enough, a group of enemies can easily wipe him/her out.

Mobbing[edit]

When several teams of the same side try to capture or defend the same shrine,
they will form a single bigger group, called a mob.
Although the increase of strength seems great at first a mob is (in terms of capturing) pretty weak.
When a mob is trying to capture a shrine most of the players in that mob will be effectively useless.
Secondly, because the bulk of it's side is waiting on a single shrine the overall capture rate will be greatly reduced,
which will give the opposition the overhand.

In order to avoid forming a mob party leaders should pay close attention to the other teams.
This is done by keeping an eye on both the Mission Map as well as the Compass.
When a mob is still formed (for example: a lot of players get resurrection at about the same time, and on the same shrine), try to split up as quickly as possible! Closely watch the mob's movements, and take a different route. Even if that will take you to a shrine you already captured!

The Decoy[edit]

Decoys are lone players with the sole purpose of distracting the enemy.
They are easily identified by typical highly defensive builds, that lack proper damaging skills.
When you identify someone as a decoy don't try to kill him/her, if you do so they win!
Instead just ignore them (then can't kill you anyway) and move on to the next shrines.

If you are a decoy yourself, try camping near an allied shrine, do not use skills that cause attacks/spells to fail,
this will cause them to halt their attack earlier.
Instead, bring skills that just reduce damage (Shield of Absorption, Stoneflesh Aura), and increase your armor (Armor of Earth).
