My Current Project[edit]
I am currently promoting the use of an open source project called "Universal Modding Engine" or uMod for short. Based on RStoff's TexMod, TexMod development ceased with the release of its beta, so this project is an approach to create an open source version of TexMod while integrating new features and hopefully a great future compliance with regards to DirectX 10 and 11. The benefit of open source allows all in the gaming community to contribute and bring about changes and updates quickly. The project is still young but has already produced a working beta version for download.
About Me[edit]
Some might consider it odd that I don't play Guild Wars at all. Sometimes I log into one of my son's accounts to perform tests. All the members of my family play off and on. I currently reside in Bay City, Michigan with my spouse Wendy. I work part of the time at Extensive Data Enterprises, a company manufacturing firmware for business applications.
Other Interests[edit]
I have been using computers since 1982, my first work was using the Zilog Z80A microprocessor. By 1992 I was contracting my services to all sort of software companies. Some gaming companies I worked contracts with were Silicon & Synapse, Infogrames, and DMA Design. Today EDE has firmware contracts with Dow Chemical, The Environmental Protection Agency, and AT&T. The firmware pays the bills these days, but I do love programming and playing games.
