Hi, regarding your trivia removal. For some of the trivia you're removing, I would agree that some of them don't belong - not only are some too trivial for even trivia sections, some are quite obviously false, unintended, or unlikely. However, the way you're removing them (using multiple IPs, and now making accounts, to constantly remove trivia in a vandal-like way despite several blocks) won't serve to persuade anyone that the trivia should actually be removed.

If you're just doing it to disrupt in order to disrupt, and you continue editing the way you're editing, we'll continue to block and revert you, like every other editor who has contributed the same way, and like every other IP you've used.

If your intention is to prove that trivia sections or notes don't belong in articles, you're doing it the wrong way - don't bother disrupting GWW to illustrate a point. If you really want these trivia notes to be removed, start a discussion at GWWT:GENFORM, and leave the trivia as they are until some kind of solution is reached. People might then actually be convinced. Judging somewhat by User talk:71.125.136.37, it seems you legitimately do think trivia notes aren't appropriate. "Welcome to the collaborative world of wikis" is a very good point, but so is the premise of discussion and consensus when something is contested, and that vandalism is a bad thing. -- pling User Pling sig.png 17:59, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm surprised that you're actually talking to me. It seemed that everyone here was intentionally giving me the silent treatment. What changed? Mister71 22:00, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Pling supports peace and love and unicorns more than most of us :P – Emmett 22:06, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
I don't think I can talk to you if you don't enthusiastically support unicorns. Mister71 01:18, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
I tried to talk to you previously, and it got me nowhere. I choose to pick my battles where I see them being worth fighting, and trivia just isn't. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 22:27, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
You might be the nicest user on this wiki. Mister71 01:18, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
I thought you were a bot. I agree that 99% of our trivia doesn't belong, because most of it is of the "I saw this word somewhere else on the internet!" or "My cat's breath smells like cat food" varieties, but you're going about this the wrong way and you're making it harder to gain consensus for its removal. —Tanaric 01:00, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
It should have been eminently clear that I wasn't a bot. I don't know how you could have thought that. Mister71 01:18, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
Well, not a bot to any reasonable purpose. Figured you were "doing it for the lulz." It's not a terribly hard script to write. Wish you'd acknowledge or accept my main point (or Pling's), since that's far more important than your bot status. —Tanaric 08:15, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
I don't really care about a policy change. I genuinely enjoy what I am doing now. Mister71 00:13, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Have to admit I just thought you were a vandal. However to be honest your last comment kinda supports that view. Pling is right, if you want a review of trivia, a policy change is the way to go. Your continued removal of trivia will just get roll'ed back and get the account banned, which is like a 2 second job for an admin. -- Salome User salome sig2.png 18:05, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Your continued reversions will just mean that I target different articles after creating a new account, which is like a 2 second job for a proxy user. (Well, it's more like 30 seconds or a minute, but you get the point.) The edit wars are fun and actually several IPs of mine have removed a bunch of trivia without being noticed. Mister71 00:53, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
If that's how you feel, consider yourself permanently blocked from the wiki. All proxy contributions from you will be similarly reverted and the IPs blocked. —Tanaric 01:52, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
That's no different from what was already happening. Rallier 01:48, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
