Samurai[edit]

The samurai is a soldier with fierce combat skills. Samurai excel in one-on-one combat focusing on a single enemy and unleash a devastating assault onto their target. When they face many foes they can call in reinforcements to assist them on the battlefield. When a samurai faces a powerful enemy they cannot overcome with their own skills they can call upon the skills of heroes from the past and allow them to take possession of their body and obtain the skills of the hero that possesses them.

The origin of the samurai lies within the era when emperor Usoku reigned. Emperor Usoku's rule had made him several enemies among his own people. During his reign a street merchant hired an assassin to take the emperor's life, an attempt that ended in failure. As retribution the assassin's guild was wiped out and the entire family of the merchant that hired him was executed in public to set an example to the people of Cantha. To prevent any further form of rebellion emperor Usoku ordered a sword hunt and confiscated all of the weapons within Canthan borders, leaving the people unarmed. The Assassin profession was also banned and many assassins became outlaws as a result, often leading a life of crime, it was the birth of the thief. During this time emperor Usoku ordered the founding of a unit priviliged to wield weapons to fight these outlaws and maintain peace troughout Cantha, they are the samurai.

Chronomancer[edit]

The chronomancer is a spellcaster with the abilities to animate, fuse and control non-living objects. They can fuse steel and lightning and change them into a sword or animate fire and stone and transform them into molten golems they control. Animals, spirits made of the elements or the corpses of the fallen cannot be fused or animated as they are living objects. Where the elementalist controls the four elements, the chronomancer controls the four dimension, heigth, length, width and time. Using gravitational fields they can warp these dimension enabling them to move themselves to any desired location or preventing foes from reaching them, slow down the flow of time or accelerate it.

Chronomancy is an art given by Kormir to margonites pardoned by the godess of truth, designed to mend the Realm of Torment distorted by the corruption of the fallen god Abaddon. The pardoned margonites also have regained their humanity by the powers of Kormir to allow them to rediscover their forgotten culture as seafarers. It are these margonites that tought the humans of Elona the art of chronomancy to survive the undead corruption of Palawa Joko. The humans swiftly discovered that chronomancy enables them to do more than just bend the dimensions to restore corrupted lands, but also has the power to control the land itself.
