No matter how good something is, I can find something wrong with it...

My Job[edit]

I'm a QA tester for ArenaNet. I try to find things that are wrong before they make it out to you, and then I look at what you report that may have slipped past us and figure out what went wrong.

My World[edit]

After spending over seven years in the QA industry, I've come to some shocking realizations. First off, I'm awesome. Second, it doesn't matter how good something is, someone will find something wrong with it. And third, to continue to be as awesome as I am, I have to keep finding problems with things that may already be awesome. It's all part of the job. Text, mechanics, graphics, lore, it's all fair game.

My Work[edit]

I've worked on over 50 titles over the past seven years to some degree or another, ranging from Pokémon to Crackdown to Fire Emblem, and I could go on for a while. I spent two of those years heavy into text editing. Now, I work on Guild Wars. I've also had an article about general QA theory published on Gamasutra here.

Why does any of this matter? Because I'm here to make sure things are as good as possible. And I'll keep doing it for a while yet, because I can.
