Elona Guardian notes[edit]

Chahbek Village[edit]

Great chance that this will be your first mission in Hard Mode, and a good choice to begin with: this mission is very easy to complete with any good group that consists of a healer, warrior and some damage dealers. Always take out the monks in the group out first. Getting masters in this mission should be very very easy! Tip: I don't know any :P.

Jokanur Diggings[edit]

This one isn't as easy as Chahbek Village: the party size is limited to only 4 people and besides that, you have to reserve a valuable spot for Melonni. There goes your Discordbuild/Sabway build. I don't suggest taking any necro heroes. There are some points of attention in this mission. The main threat will be the Relentless Dead mobs in the city. They cast Death Swarm which will deal about 150 damage to each member of your party if you are not spread out. The groups in the city usually consists of 3 relentless mobs: 2 corpses (warriors) or 2 dead (necro's). I took my standard Fire build with me but instead of Ruby Djinn I took Protective Spirit. My heroes were Melonni, Tahlkora and Acolyte Sokouse. I gave Melonni the skill Heart of Holy Flame and Avatar of Balthazar: there are many Undead in the mission. Tahlkora had a standard LoD healing build and my ele also had a Fire build, almost the same as mine. What I did for each group of Relentless, was sending Melonni forwards, gave her Protective Spirit and then started to nuke the Relentless Dead. Another problem in this mission is the bonus: you may not kill any Sunspear Ghost! Kormir however, will attack then. At one point, you have to deal with a bell, a group of Relentless mobs and the ghost itself! The key to do the bonus is to grab the stone tablets and to drop then IN FRONT of the pedestal. When they are both in front of the pedestals, it's safe to put then on the pedestal. Otherwise you run the risk that the ghosts will steal the tablets. Also, be careful of the fire sprayers. The Apocalypse is actually very easy and when you kill it, the mission will be done. Tip: Be careful of the Relentless Death and take something to prevent the damage from their Death Swarm!

Blacktide Den[edit]

Very easy mission, the only annoying thing is the distance you have to walk for the bonus monsters. The mission istself is very easy. You can finally take 8 people with you! I took Discordway and the monk, ele, ranger and another one I can't remember. In the middle of the mission, you get attacked by a very big group of Skales. This is where AoE damage can help you. Just use MS and some AoE spells and they are dead in no time! Tip: I don't have any =D

Consulate Docks[edit]

My favourite mission because of the speed, blood and feel! This mission can be quite hard with only Heroes/Hencies. I took some guildies with me, it was the Zaishen Mission when I did it. Always take out the Scribes first because they can easily wipe your party with their Meteors. A Minion Master can help you greatly: there are many corpses. Also, be careful with pulling: there are some groups close to each other. The groups are quite big so you probably can't take two at a time, especially not in Hard Mode. Also, expect to die at least one time and take a res. You can sometimes position yourself so the rangers can't attack you. Anyway, have fun storming the fortress.

Venta Cementry[edit]

The mission itself is not very hard, the bonus takes some time. I did this mission alone with Discordway and monk, 2x ele and the ranger hencie. You have to disable all 12 guard posts. You also have to disable Sentry Traps with a skill you received in the begin of the mission. When you fail to disable the Trap, you will get besieged. This also happens when you don't kill the guards near the guard post fast enough. When you killed all guards around a tower, the tower is disabled. Between the towers, there can be some big groups of Kournan troops. Be careful with your aggro and try to pull when you can. The bowmen tend to stay near each other, use some area knockdown skills. Don't get near the garrison in the center of the map and always watch out for Sentry Traps. When you trigger one, they should be your first priority. Tip: be careful with your aggro and pull when you can.

Rilohn Refunge[edit]

Getting the master reward here isn't very hard. When I did it, it was the Zaishen Mission so I got 7 other random people with me. Just follow the path and don't shut any pumps. When you get to the Drought, first kill the surrounding monsters before you attack him. There's one thing necessary in this mission: Pain Inverter. A Minion Master will definitely help. The Drought will cast Sandstorm on your party (and Minions) and with Pain Inverter he's as good as dead. It's a good idea however to take Ward of Elements to prevent your party from wiping. When the Drought is dead, the mission is complete and you get your master reward. Tip: take Pain Inverter for the Drought.

Pogahn Passage[edit]

Now you have the sneak in Gandara disguised as a Kournan soldier. I did this one with a friend who had Margrid, Dunkoro and an Fire ele. I took my general build and Discordway. Just follow the path on the map on the mission page in this wiki, it will be easy. After you've freed Kormir and completed your 4 bonus objectives, it will be a bit more thought: some Kournan troups will enter the prison and try to kill you. Get rid of then. You have to escape to the escape point, which is in the south of the fortress, but you only have 15 minutes and your path will be blocked with Kournan troops. When you're just out of the prison, you will see huge groups of Kournans down the stair: be careful here and stay on top of the stair! Pull one group and don't try to aggro the other one (we aggroed the other group but we've made it with only 2 deads). After you've killed the troops, continue. At the docks you will see the Elementalist boss. Be aware of his Fireballs/Meteors: they can easily wipe your party. Use Pain Inverter if you can. He's accompanied by another group of Kournan. Make sure you take all allies to the end of the docks. The end cinematic will play and you've completed the mission. Tip: don't go down the stair and aggro the two groups at once when you escape.

Moddok Crevice[edit]

Again, a very easy mission. When I did it, it was the Zaishen Mission. The Mandragor in the beginning can do quite a bit damage, be aware of that. The most difficult thing in this mission is the bonus. At some point, you have to kill 2 Corsair runners before they get back to the camp. You HAVE to take some snares or knockdowns with you, especially on Hard Mode where they have a speed boost. They can remove conditions with their skills. For killing the Hunger and the general: stay under the bridge to prevent the Rangers from hitting you. If you have heroes or hencies, flag then under the bridge and lure the Hunger/general to you. Kill the general first since he's a Monk. Tip: take snares and knockdowns to stop the runners.

Tihark Orchard[edit]

The only solo mission in Guild Wars and a very fun one: for the bonus you have to participate in the festival of Lyss. You have to learn some children to dance, copy a mime and beat a drunkard. The only advice I can give for this mission is to take a healing skill. At the end, the festival get interrupted by some Harpies and if you get aggro, you can easily use a healing skill. The mime part is kinda annoying if you don't know many emotes. Zoom in on him and make sure to type in the emotion very fast. It can take several tries. Defeating Palawa Joko is the same as in Normal Mode, as is getting the rare vase for the prince and the drunkard contest. Tip: take a healing skill to be safe.

Dzagonur Bastion[edit]

This mission is HARD! This is the only mission that required several tries. I went with a friend in here. We've tried several setups. First of all: take a Minion Master, there are plenty of corpses. The first few tries we tried to send all groups to the eastern bombardment and we defended the center/west one. When te generals spawned, we immediately rushed to the Warrior boss, only to be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of Kournan troops and Margonites. After 5 or 6 tries with several setups, we were tired and I've asked in the guild for help. A friendly guildy came to help us. We took the following heroes and builds: I took full Discordway, the friend took Dunkoro (healer) and the guildie took 2 other Discordway heroes. We sended 2 groups to the east and one group to the center. When the generals spawned, we first cleared the center and then rushed to the Warrior boss. After killing that, we went to the Monk boss. When we killed him, we rushed back to the center and cleared it. Things get easier from now on: you only have to focus on the eastern bombardment now. We didn't have much trouble killing the Paragon boss. When we arrived at the elementalist boss, everone was out of energy and we had several deads, but after we killed him, we've made it! A Minion Master can help very well to hold off the Kournans. Also, don't bring Lightbringer's Gaze, it's a waste of a skill slot because there aren't many Margonites. Take Fall Back or another speedboost instead. Consumables will also help. Make sure to work your way from the west to the east and keep an eye out for incoming Kournan troops. We made it with only the western bombardment lost. Tip: send 2 groups to the east and one group to the center. Take a Minion Master.

Kodonur Crossroads[edit]

This mission was the Zaishen Mission when I did it, so I grabbed 7 random people, 2 monks. The problem here are the big groups of Kournan troops which are very close to each other. Pulling is very, very important here. You can follow the path on the map on this wiki. The taskmasters can hit fast and hard, consider using Pain Invert on him. Also, the Monk boss you have to kill for the bonus is very annoying because he spawns Zealous Benediction. First take out the other groups around him. Again, be careful with pulling, there are two groups very close to the Monk boss. In the garrison are some big groups, again, pull then apart and don't take then all at once. The last group, with the 2 end bosses, is actually ver easy. Take out Priests and Scribes first. Priests can heal very well and Scribes do alot of damage with their Fire Magic. Consider taking a Minion Master so the minions can take the damage from the Scribes. Tip: pull is very important here!

Grand Court of Sebelkeh[edit]

Terrible and annoying mission: you have to capture 3 rifts and a center rift. For this mission, I took my general build and Discordway. A friend took Tahlkora, Morgahn and another hero (can't remember which one). When the mission starts, immediately rush to the center and kill the Margonites. Capture the Altar of Lyssa and let 2 heroes defend it. While they are defending it, go capture other rifts. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Blasempty. When you see him, attack him and kill him and the energies. A high lightbringer rank and Lightbringer's Gaze will help. It can get quite messy because sometimes you have to split your party. When a rift is reopened by the Blasempty, more Margonites will spawn and you have to capture the rift again. Be as fast as possible and make sure to take a Minion Master. I did it in 10:25 minutes, 1 minute and 32 seconds left on my first try. Tip: take Lightbringer's Gaze.

Jennur's Horde[edit]

I always hated this mission. It's just annoying to keep track of the spawn. It's not very hard however, it just requires a bit attention. I went in here with a friend who had Discordway. My heroes were also Discordway. Just proceed to the center area and begin clearing the area. It's good to kill a group and then kill the spawn and repeat that. This is recommend for the bonus harbringers as their groups take some time to beat. Take Lightbringer's Gaze and your Lightbringer title. The end boss, the Harbringer of Nightfall, requires 3 seeds so if you are with only Heroes and Henchmens, run between the Harbringer and the Lights. With 2 or more people it's easier as you can both run seeds. When the Harbringer of Nightfall is dead, the mission is completed. Tip: bring Lightbringer's Gaze and your Lightbringer title.

Nundu Bay[edit]

This mission has two parts: in the first part, you have to defend the village against some waves of Margonites. When you start the mission, you can choose to clear some Margonites around the village, just make sure that you don't talk to Elder Jonah. When you are ready to defend the village, talk to Elder Jonah to receive the Putrified Vial skill, the only skill against Harbringers. Defending the village is not very hard, just make sure that Jonah don't die. There are many corpses so you can take a Minion Master. I went here with a friend and dual Discordway. After you defeated the Harbringers, you can continue to the fortress. There are some Margonites between you and the fortress. Again, take Lightbringer's Gaze: there are many Margonites here. When you arrive at the fortress, you can kill the southern additional Harbringers for the bonus. They are in the south part of the fortress. Be careful here because there are tweo groups very very close to each other. Make sure to pull one group far away. It's possible to kill the two groups at once (in fact, we did it with some massive AoE!) but for your safety, pull just one. Once the bonus objective is complete, you can kill the Harbringer of Nightfall which is very easy to kill. Tip: bring Lightbringer's Gaze and you Lightbringer title.

Gate of Desolation[edit]

Ruins of Morah[edit]

I hired a runner for this mission, so there isn't much tactic involved =D. Tip: hire a runner for a smooth, fast and safe run!

Gate of Pain[edit]

Gate of Madness[edit]

Abaddon's Gate[edit]
