I am a software developer and consultant by day, and an aspiring game designer and entrepreneur by night.

Game design is the only career I ever wanted growing up, and it was ArenaNet’s work on Guild Wars 2 that inspired me to reconsider my career goals.

My goal on the Wiki page is to contribute well formed articles for game suggestions. Rather than give ideas, I wish to give fully fleshed out designs and analysis.

If anyone on the design team sees my articles and appreciates them, please do let me know, it would mean a lot to me. If I know that I am making it that far, then it will motivate me that much more to keep providing top quality content.

I appreciate any discussion from other users on my submissions or my user page.

When I write these articles there are some basic assumptions I use, I will keep them listed here below.

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Assumptions:

Assumption 1 – Humans are pattern recognizing machines and will self organize to perform tasks in the most optimal fashion they can discover. This can happen actively or passively but is especially relevant when designing for an MMO.

Assumption 2 – The overall challenge level of GW2 quests will be similar to other MMOs. This means that they are designed to not require critically honed gaming skill or focus to achieve the most beneficial outcome. As this is a core design feature of MMO’s and RPG’s in general, this is a safe assumption in most cases.
