Getefix's Rant page[edit]

hiya getefix again and this is the page in which i find anet would have problems achieving or I don't agree with the guild wars and guild wars 2 suggested ideas

i will be finding ideas that i see a problem with, then ill copy and paste it from that page and stick it into this one and tell you which user had the 'bright idea' of suggesting if you find any that i hav't got tell me on this page's discussion page.

Geoden's race specific skill[edit]

Race specific skills - by Geoden

In short he wants races to have the same skills but different. like deals more damage has more armor penetration attacks deal cripple for longer all races having different 'types' of the same skill - wouldnt it be a little bit difficult for anet to produce four times as many skills? I think race specific skills should be seperate skills that only one race can get eg asura 'summon golem' or the norn 'bear form'

so it's less work for anet and races are more unique - and less work for anet means less time in development and also means it comes out earlier.

classless system[edit]

classless system by anonymous (seriously I couldn't find a name) the actual quote from the page is:

Professions should be eliminated altogether. Realism is sometimes seen as a barrier, or a burden, but in this case, it makes so much more sense. Players should pick their race of preference, and then start at that baseline, building up areas of skill as they play. This way, the character they have will reflect everything they've done to that point.

my comment is - seriously what the hell? proffessions make a character actually have a kind of identity in the game is proffessions i mean what is saying "I have a perfect proffession of...... what the hell am I??" its not cool but on the other hand saying "wammo" sounds way cooler :P

not to mention everyone will have the same build and people would be less dependant on others totally breaking down the need for teams and making guild wars deserted, unsociable and unfriendly
