This is my current Survivor in training.
I am testing a theory on getting the survivor title with the new books available.
Using the Flameseeker prophesies in both Normal & hard mode

these are for primary & skill quests only and all missions leading & getting to Lions arch. All secondary missions taken before deciding which secondary to take. Any missions leading to LA are taken at basic pass level (standard/primary) although some may be easy to get higher standards on, especially with lvl 20 assistance.

Starting the book - Math from Lions arch onward[edit]
First all the xp gained getting to LA will depend on which campaign you start. For the sake of the formula... I will give this the tag {SXP}
1st time through use a Normal mode book. There are 18 missions, ergo (without secondaries)
18 * 1000 = 18000 (mission complete xp or {MXP})
Book completion = 80000 {NMBC}
so after this you will have (without secondaries or stray xp)
{SXP}+{MXP}+{NMBC} or {SXP}+98000
Remember to add on 49000 xp if you 'ascended' before weh na su or Hunted
{sxp}+147000
continuing using NM[edit]
if we ignore the {SXP} for now, after the initial run through you will get no more xp for mission completion. So the number of books required works out like this:
(1337500-98000)/80000= 15.49 (16 complete books)
ascended before WNS or hunted
(1337500-147000)/80000= 14.88 (15 complete books)
- calculation does not take into account secondaries obtained (1st time through) or xp gained from scrolls or from being close. It also goes from 0xp, which is highly unlikely by the time you get to LA)
continuing with HM[edit]
If you choose to complete with HM after the initial NM run youll need to work out the books like this:
(1337500-(98000+(18*2000)))/120000= 10.02 (11 complete books)
ascended before WNS or hunted
(1337500-(147000+(18*2000)))/120000= 9.62 (10 complete books)
- calculation does not take into account secondaries obtained (1st time through in both modes) or xp gained from scrolls or from being close. It also goes from 0xp, which is highly unlikely by the time you get to LA)
In conclusion[edit]
Ignoring any xp gain from kills, being in the right place, scrolls etc the totals should be either
Starter campaign : Any
either: 15 full Normal mode books (= 120k gold)
or : 1 full Normal mode + 9 full Hard mode (= 116k gold)
Depending on your confidence, abilities and whether you are going with a trusted friend, PUG's or H&H, the easiest way is to use normal mode. **Also if you just take the full books gold value (8k NM, 12k HM) you get more gold for easier work.**
