Guild Wars Wiki:General disclaimerTerms of Use

The Official Guild Wars Wiki is an online, public collaboration of information centering around ArenaNet's competitive online roleplaying game, Guild Wars. All information contained on this website is provided by the voluntary efforts of individual players and groups working to develop a comprehensive information resource for all Guild Wars fans to use and enjoy. No changes to this section.
This website is an open wiki. It allows anyone with access to the Internet to create and alter its articles and content. Please note that articles and information found within this wiki have not necessarily been reviewed by members of the Guild Wars development team, employees of ArenaNet, or employees of NCsoft.
Although much of the information presented on the Official Guild Wars Wiki will be accurate and up-to-date, ArenaNet and NCsoft cannot guarantee the validity and quality of the information. It should be understood that the content of any article may be modified or changed at any time by any member of the community. It should also be understood that any wiki page has a risk of becoming vandalized or improperly altered by users.
To maintain a sense of community on this user-contributed resource, it is encouraged that any user encountering improper, offensive, or otherwise incorrect information simply take the time to edit the article in question and correct the problem. If any situations arise that warrant further involvement, they should be reported directly to the Official Guild Wars Wiki moderators for review.
Contributions, Licenses & Assignments
Each contributor to the Official Guild Wars Wiki represents that the contributor’s contribution is original and does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party, and the contributor agrees to license or assign it as follows: This section has been added to change the licensing provisions, as described in my letter on this subject. Also, it is consistent with the new proposed submission language.
The contributor agrees to license the contributor’s contribution pursuant to the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) 1.2 or any later version (the “GFDL”), except to the extent that the contribution includes suggestions, ideas, feedback, bug fixes and/or translations (collectively “Feedback”). If your contribution includes Feedback, you hereby assign that contribution to ArenaNet, Inc. and its successors and assigns (collectively “ArenaNet”) and it shall be deemed the property of ArenaNet. (This enables ArenaNet to use your contributions in its games.) In the event that there is a disagreement over whether a contribution includes Feedback, that contribution shall be deemed to include Feedback.
ArenaNet grants the users of the Official Guild Wars Wiki a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, distribute, display and perform Feedback for non-commercial or informational purposes.
Contributors to the Official Guild Wars Wiki may also post content obtained from Guild Wars, its websites, manuals and guides, concept art and renderings, press and fansite kits, and other such copyrighted material that ArenaNet has made available to the general public, to the Official Guild Wars Wiki. All rights, title and interest in and to such content and Feedback shall remain with ArenaNet and/or NCsoft, as applicable, and such content and Feedback is not licensed pursuant to the GFDL.
By using the Official Guild Wars Wiki, each contributor agrees that any contribution the contributor makes is provided voluntarily and freely with no right to or expectation of content preservation or compensation from ArenaNet or NCsoft. None of ArenaNet or NCsoft, or any of their respective employees, agents or representatives, is responsible if any contributor should change, edit, modify, or remove any information that a contributor has posted on the Official Guild Wars Wiki. This provision is similar to the first and second paragraphs from the deleted section “No User Contracts and a Limited License” below.
No Formal Developer Reviews
While members of the Guild Wars development team can and do access the Official Guild Wars Wiki, it should be understood that all articles cannot be officially reviewed at all times. Our community of editors use resources such as the Special:Recentchanges and Special:Newpages feeds to monitor new and changing content. No changes to this section.
It should be clearly understood that the Official Guild Wars Wiki is not consistently reviewed by official Guild Wars developers. While all ArenaNet and NCsoft employees may correct errors or engage in casual peer review, they have no legal duty to do so and thus all information read here is without any implied warranty of accuracy for any purpose or use whatsoever. Due to open community access to the Official Guild Wars Wiki, even articles that have been reviewed by official employees of ArenaNet of NCsoft may later have been edited inappropriately, changing their original content.
None of the contributors, sponsors, administrators, developers, or anyone else connected with the Official Guild Wars Wiki in any way whatsoever can be held responsible for the appearance of any inaccurate or libelous information or for your use of the information contained in or linked from these Web pages.

You are being granted a limited license to copy anything from this site; it does not create or imply any contractual or extracontractual liability on the part of the Official Guild Wars Wiki or any of its agents, members, organizers, or other users. This section has been deleted because it is obsolete, given the new section “Contributions, Licenses and Assignments” above.
Providing content for the Official Guild Wars Wiki should be done voluntarily with no assumptions of content preservation or compensation from ArenaNet of NCsoft.
There is no agreement or understanding between you and the Official Guild Wars Wiki regarding your use or modification of this information beyond the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL); neither is anyone at ArenaNet or NCsoft responsible if any contributer should change, edit, modify, or remove any information that you have posted on the Official Guild Wars Wiki.
