Here I have set out a example of the kind of list I talk about in my post here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2911806#post2911806

This list would only contain features that the CR have actually presented to the developers. If the developers respond immediately to the suggestion, a summary of that response would be appended to the feature.

This page only exists as an example of how such a page could be designed. I don't know whether or not any of the suggestions below have actually been submitted to the developers (though I hope some of them have ;) )

Okay, it turns out there actually IS a developer named Izzy AND he already takes a lot of flak from the community. I didn't know this. Sorry, Izzy. I've changed the example name I used to Grimlock. :)

Suggestions submitted to the developer team[edit]

This page is provided as a courtesy to fans to show your suggested have been noted and submitted to the relevant teams. Remember that these are fan suggestions submitted to the developer team by the CR reps. There is no guarantee that all or any of the suggestions below will be implemented in Guild Wars in any way, shape, or form!

Skill changes[edit]

  • Alter Soul Reaping to work as it did, but without gaining energy from spirits.
Dev response: SR will not be restored to its former power in order to facilitate a needed rebalancing of the skill
  • Fans request clarification
Through prolonged observation of Soul Reaping's effect on PvP as well as PvE the designers have determined that the Necromancer class has become a tool for enabling builds for other classes that would not be viable without soul reaping. This is so far beyond our original intent for Necromancers that we feel it needs alteration.
  • Make Sunspear skills available to primary profession only
Dev response: This is currently under consideration.
  • Make Sunspear skills available to Heroes

Gameplay changes[edit]

  • Allow a team of 7 heroes for Hard Mode
Dev response: This would require a massive redesign of the UI which is simply not possible, or it would require heros to behave as henchmen, which goes against the design guidelines for heroes.
  • Fan alternative: Allow the extra heroes to act as simple henchmen with a customized skill bar
Dev response: This flatly contradicts the design guidelines for Heroes and cannot be considered.
  • Roll back or at least raise the +25 armor buff cap
  • Make progress toward Kurzick/Luxon title apply retroactively based on the faction a player has earned

UI changes[edit]

  • Lengthen the description field on the party search window to facilitate trading
Dev response: This can't be accommodated. I told Grimlock to make the database field 400 chars, but Grimlock said that 400 Charr were too many so he made it 40. WTG Grimlock.

AI changes[edit]

  • Provide full skill bars and enhanced AI to the enemies in hard mode, rather than high levels and simple skill bars
Dev response: Although this is a good idea in principle, the amount of time and resources this would require makes it infeasible in any sort of reasonable time.

Sweeping reforms[edit]

  • Auction house
Dev response: Infeasible in the near future. We simply don't have time to implement such an enormous feature
  • Fan alternative: Globalize party search window across all outposts to facilitate trading
  • Separate PvE and PvP skill descriptions and game mechanics
Dev response: The programming changes required for this would uproot the dark depths of code where even we fear to tread, and we may be eaten by grues. Make sure Grimlock goes first.

Suggestions noted by community rep[edit]

These suggestions have been noted and are planned for inclusion in the next weekly report to the developer teams.
