The Building Blocks[edit]
This was build on part of the concept of the cookie-cutter ranger bar. While rangers were generally "well-rounded", this bar drops a lot of that well-roundedness for the sake of increasing the character's effectiveness as a dedicated interrupter.
Modifications[edit]
- One of the staple skills on this bar, Apply Poison, has been dropped for Read the Wind. Apply poison was far too energy-intensive to be used in conjunction with both Magebane and Savage Shot; as such, it has been replaced with Read the Wind, which allows this character to land interrupts at longer ranges, thus increasing the number of opportunities this character has to land interrupts.
- Natural Stride, also typical, has been dropped. Without the Wilderness Survival spec for Apply, it became an unnecessary expenditure of attribute points.
- Leech Signet. This skill was popular in TA because TA players often obstructed themselves or used key skills while under block stances; leech signet allows the user to ignore both of these factors for interrupts that would otherwise be impossible. Further, in RA, this has the great boon of being able to be used while blind, and so can break Blinding Surge chains and such. Lastly, this provides a form of energy management, which is extremely useful in such an energy-intensive build.
- Hex Eater Signet. Because of the abundance of hexes in RA, this skill's ability to remove hexes from multiple party members is a great addition. Further, it provides yet another means of energy management.
