On Professions in General[edit]

Multi-Discipline system:

  • Characters can spec into one Primary Discipline, typically an offensive or healing Discipline, and two Support Disciplines.
    • Skills within a Discipline may vary depending on whether it is selected as a Primary or Support Discipline. For example, Pyromancy would not contain Fireball as a Support Discipline, but may contain Conjure Flame instead.
  • Choice of Support Disciplines is limited by choice of Primary Discipline and other Support Disciplines.
    • A character with Hammer Mastery as a primary may not be able to spec into Acrobatics, while a character specializing in Dagger Mastery would be able to.
    • A character with Pyromancy as a Support Discipline would not be able to choose Hydromancy as a second Support Discipline.

On Melee Attack Skills[edit]

  • Attacks generally have very short Cools except for "finishing attacks", which generally deal heavy damage and signify the end of a "turn".
  • Many attacks can override Cool to increase burst damage in a pinch; in this case, these attacks act as finishers and have long Cools and Recovery periods.
  • Attack skills may have shorter Activation times based on a character's Momentum, especially with heavier weapons.
