On TA.[edit]

Round 1.[edit]

  • Stunning Strike, Lingering Curse, Visions of Regret, Word of Healing v. Devastating Hammer, Magebane Shot, Lingering Curse, Word of Healing.
Raine: "Hexway <3"

Our team degens to death. Between Poison Tip Signet, Barbed Spear, and Lingering Curse, the opposing team easily maintains heavy degen on the party, despite our necromancer's Foul Feasting. Because of Lingering Curse, 10 degen effectively becomes 15 when trying to heal. Add in 100% uptime VoR/Backfire chains, and there really isn't much our monk can do to keep us alive. In the culmination of that match, the paragon eventually lands Stunning Strike on the monk, the daze is FFd off by the necro, the necro can't get off any casts, and Lingering Curse sucks up WoH after WoH while the paragon pumps out damage, slowly and steadily killing the team.

Raine: "Well, I don't know what the meta's looking like tonight, but if we keep fighting crap like this, I'll run PnH."

Round 2.[edit]

  • Lingering Curse, Mind Blast, Mind Blast, Word of Healing v. Devastating Hammer, Magebane Shot, Lingering Curse, Word of Healing.
Skittles: "Well that was gay."

This one goes faster. Without SB, there isn't anything the monk can do against the fire magic spam. Distortion blocks off interrupts and pressure, Meteors and Liquid Flame pump out amazing damage, and Lingering Curse + cover hex x3 renders WoH all but laughable. SoA on recharge keeps us up for a minute, and then we resign out.
To be perfectly honest, though, the team probably would've beaten us running Balanced; they were all strong players.

Die: "That group was the nolifers."
Raine: "At least it wasn't Cirque."

Round 3.[edit]

  • Wounding Strike, Mind Shock, Mind Shock, Word of Healing v. Devastating Hammer, Magebane Shot, Lingering Curse, Word of Healing.
Raine: "Fuck this, I'm taking SB."

The WS sin and the air eles spike the monk out cleanly. We resign.

Raine: "Okay. Balanced isn't working. Let's run something gay."

Rounds 4 & 5.[edit]

  • Warrior's Endurance, Magebane Shot (I'm assuming), Lingering Curse, Word of Healing v. Wounding Strike, Offering of Spirit, Peace and Harmony, Word of Healing.
Raine: "I didn't even see what half of them were running."

Warmonger's Weapon plus insane scythe damage from Judge's Insight and Strength of Honor destroys the other team. They resign.
We fight the same team in the next round. Same outcome.

Raine: "No Honor Way."

Round 6.[edit]

  • Lingering Curse, Mind Blast, Mind Blast, Word of Healing v. Wounding Strike, Offering of Spirit, Peace and Harmony, Word of Healing.
Raine: "Is that Reflected, Reflected?"
Die: "Yeah. That's Reflected."

Fire magic blows us up again. It takes significantly longer, but the knockdown and Lingering Curse eventually put too much pressure on the backline and we drop.

Raine: "Let's switch."
Makk: "I'm not playing derv."

Rounds 7, 8, & 9.[edit]

  • Wounding Strike, Mind Shock, Mind Shock, Word of Healing v. Warrior's Endurance, Offering of Spirit, Peace and Harmony, Word of Healing.
Raine: "Easy spike is easy."

The other team can't kill anything. Warmonger's Weapon destroys the eles at the beginning of the match, crippling their energy. Spirit Bond stops their spikes, WoH pushes red bars. As soon as Warmonger's gets a HSR, we win the game.

:Raine "Ups spirit bond."

Some remarks.[edit]

Reflected's team has won a battle in the Hall of Heroes.
Raine: "At least I don't feel bad anymore."
  • "Hexway MB MB Crit WS Hexway MB" isn't fun.
  • When every single team has a Lingering Curse necro, something's wrong.
  • Unranked teams playing against Reflected and Cirque Nolifebaker isn't fun.
  • I missed a few matches in there. We fought the Hexway again, and we fought another "balanced with Lingering Curse Necro" team before we switched monks.
