Renee Stimpleton, (Ren) was born to Sven Stimpleton & his wife Casandra. They lived in a small Cabin in the woods of the North Lands. As a small child Ren was fascinated by her father's bows. He soon got her one of her own which she immediately took to. She soon became an expert marksman. She would play in the woods near her home with her bow and her animal friends. Her father decided it was time he put young Ren's talent to use & took her with him on her first hunting trip. That day she shot her first rabbit. Her eyes filled with tears, as she cried for the death of the innocent creature. Her father explained to her that this was part of the natural way of things, that we must kill other creatures to survive, to put food on our table & clothes on our backs. Ren was unconsolable.

In her heartache, she turned to her mother, a necromancer. She asked her mother if ther was anything that could be done when a creature dies, to restore it's life. Her mother taught Ren how to raise undead creatures from the corpses of the dead. Young Ren was happy with this new gift, & played joyfully w her new minion, not realizing it would only last a short time.

On her next hunting trip with her father, each time they would kill something, she would raise a minion from it. Her father scolded her for spoiling the meat, but she could not help herself, and he never had the heart to be mad at her for long. Soon with the help of the minions there wound up being plenty of meat & hide to supply the family. Oddly enough, Ren never felt guilty or sad for the destruction the minions caused. she just saw them as her misguided children.

This was a happy time for Ren, but it was not to be long lived. One day her father was away on business, trading furs and was attacked by Corsairs. The only thing they ever found was his smashed bow. The only conciveable conclusion was that he had died at the hands of the Corsairs.
