Preface[edit]
Foul Feast Curse Necromancers were used in most balanced setup in Team Arenas mostly because of how effectively they can deal with anything physical-damage based, notably by the use of Faintheartedness. They can also be used in Random Arenas, where I advise to tell your healer (if any) that you have foul feast on your bar and keep an eye open to see if he wastes energy on removing conditions. Proceed to tell him you will take care of conditions except daze when it's on you. If by any bad luck your foul feast gets dshotted, call it in team chat so your monk can take action to back you up. I personally made a specialty out of ff necs although I will not write how to play such a character in details as it requires deep knowledge of the maps, fake casting, kiting, pre-kiting, positioning, watching the field, following damage and so on.
Skill bar[edit]
Foul Feast | Plague Sending | Corrupt Enchantment | Faintheartedness | Defile Defenses | Insidious Parasite | Armor of Sanctity | Resurrection Signet |
Attributes[edit]
- 13 Curses (11+1+1)
- 13 Soul Reaping (12+1)
- 6 Earth Prayers
Variants[edit]
There are so many versions of ff necros so I will simply list few examples.
- Wail of Doom, Rip Enchantment instead of Corrupt Enchantment and Insidious Parasite (don't get your faint dshotted or things might go bad)
- Return instead of Armor of Sanctity (Although I prefer AoS because I don't need to use a skill slot to have positioning advantage and AoS can counter Shovespike)
- Rip Enchantment or Rend Enchantments for Insidious Parasite
Equipment[edit]
- Full Tormentor Insignias (although you'll have to deal with Avatar of Balthazar and Heart of Holy Flame which should not be a major issue)
- 40/40 Curse set
- 40/40 Soul Reaping set (mostly to deal with Deep Wound spamming, Bsurge eles, etc)
- Heavy spear of defense + Shield of Fortitude (with +10 armor against the most dangerous damage type going on around, keep many in inventory)
- High Energy 20/20 SR set to Foul Feast dangerous conditions (Deep Wound, Dazed) without having to wait for your energy to go up. (FF usually pays for itself anyway)
Usage[edit]
- Use Foul Feast to draw any important conditions (Blind, Deep Wound, Dazed, Crippled, Weakness) to you and Plague Sending to send it back to proper targets. (watch for balls as Plague Sending is AoE)
- Corrupt important enchantments (Lyssa's Aura, Critical Defenses, Guardian, Holy Veil, Attunements,...) or Patient Spirit when there's nothing else
- Cover Faintheartedness and Insidious Parasite with Defile Defenses and/or Corrupt Enchantment
- Keep enemy interrupt rangers fainted 24/7.
- Defile anything that blocks (watch for Lightning Reflexes, you can pack some serious damage on a ranger while it's up)
- Parasite physical damage dealers for 1-your self-survival, 2-make enemy frontliners take risks (deadly during mid-game)
- Prioritize faint over parasite when facing many physical damage dealers
- Follow the damage of your melee damage dealers by using defile on whatever they are attacking that has blocks and by corrupting guardian
- Use Armor of Sanctity to negate melee spikes on you or your allies (using weakness) (effective versus Seeping Wound, Woohoo!)
- FunnyTip1: Some bad monks using Bonneti's Defense might not notice they are auto-attacking through Insidious Parasite in the middle of the game. Parasite those when there's nothing else to do.
