Message for Copatar[edit]

Hi Cop,

this is the page where you can write your questions about the game. I will answer either here or by logging in-game and telling you my answer. I don't play GW anymore, but I'm glad to help a good ole bud. You can click the "Edit" button at the top of this wiki-page and write some text. I'll take care of the formatting if needed

Sincerely,
Sylv

I think its not work like that....,explain,please thx,Cop (UTC)

Answers[edit]

Hi Cop,

All Adrenal skills are individually charged. You gain 1 adrenaline per hit you do on someone (furious mod aside). When you use Adrenal Skill A, all you other adrenal skills lose 1 point of adrenaline. So let's say you press the "Eviscerate" button when Body Blow and Eviscerate are fully charged, your "Body Blow" is goes down to 6 adrenaline, so 6/7 charged. However, when you land your eviscerate, that counts as a standard hit, so body blow goes back to 7/7. However, if you miss Eviscerate/get blocked - fail to hit - , body blow will stay at 6/7. If you land the first hit of your chain, you can follow up with another adrenal attack, but if you fail to hit you cannot. This is one of the reasons why pre-proting is so good. One thing though, if you use Eviscerate, regardless of whether you actually hit or not, your adrenaline charge for this skill goes back to 0.

Let's say you spike with Eviscerate->Body Blow->Bull's Strike (assuming you get it right and knock him down because he's moving)

At the Beginning,

  • Eviscerate 8/8, Body Blow 7/7, you are fully charged
  • You use Eviscerate, Evisc 0/8, Body Blow 6/7

a) You hit with Evisc, Evisc 0/8, Body Blow 7/7
b) You miss with Evisc, Evisc 0/8, Body Blow 6/7, impossible to follow up with body blow, you have to hit with a normal/energy attack to get the 1 adrenaline you need to use body blow

If a) is true, then you can follow up with body blow:

  • You use Body Blow, Evisc 0/8, Body Blow 0/7 (Adrenaline cannot go below 0, so 0-1 = 0)

c) You hit with Body Blow, Evisc 1/8, Body Blow 0/7
d) You miss with Body Blow, Evisc 0/8, Body Blow 0/7

Assuming c) is true and the target starts kiting, you press bull's strike

  • You use Bull's Strike (an energy attack), Evisc 1/8, Body Blow 0/7

e) You hit with Bull's, Evisc 2/8, Body Blow 1/7
f) You miss, Evisc 1/8, Body Blow 0/7

Take note that energy attacks like Power Attack can back you up when you miss an adrenal chain.
Suppose you have 3 attack skills you can spike with: Dismember, Power Attack, Agonizing Chop

If you go Dismember first and you miss, you are unable to follow up with Agonizing if you need to Therefore, you do Dismember->Power Attack, if Power Attack hits, you'll follow the spike and you will charge up Agonizing Blow because Power Attack is an energy attack (assuming it's not a solo spike) In the end, you do Dismember (miss)-> Power Attack (Hit)-> Agonizing Chop Of course you could miss the Power Attack too, but I'm just saying that you must react with Power Attack in 2nd if you miss the first dismember for optimal spike efficiency.

Ok finally for your question even if it's a little unclear. If you have a skill that costs 10 adrenaline and one that costs 7 and they are both charged and you use the one that costs 7, this skill will go to 0/7 (regardless of whether you hit or not) and the 10-adrenaline skill (backbreaker I guess) goes to 9/10. If you hit with the 7-adrenaline skill, you go back to 10/10 but if you don't, you'll stay at 9/10. Some skills also have "lose all adrenaline". If you use them, whether they hit or not, all your other adrenal skills will go down to 0 charge.

It's almost 3 am and I'm pretty tired so let me know if my garbage is clear :P Cheers, ~Sylv
