Holiday Costumes! (Discussion)[edit]

Instead of having a festival hat, because to be honest they're getting ridiculous in how they look, we should have a festival costume! Same sort of idea when you do Dwayna vs Grenth at the end of Wintersday/Festive event you should, instead of getting, a hat you get a costume instead. I was thinking part of the costume each year so it makes it clear to the players who is a devoted player so on so forth. Like for the first year you give away the trousers and the boots, next year the shirt and the gloves and finally the hat for the costume. The costume should be like normal armour because then people would use it outside of outposts and it should be able to have runes on and colour changeable. I think it should also be tradeable but if you're trading it it must be traded with some other festive item. My main thought was a Santa Costume and a Grentchy costume for Wintersday but you could further develop it so it's for the Dragon Festival, the Halloween Festival you name it. Maybe even the Canthan New Year's Festival. The costume maker should be a seperate person to the festival hat maker because maybe the festive hats can then be turned into festive quest rewards or put into the Z Chest...Well me and some other players thought it would be a really good idea and a new view on things in Festival Events.

I think players would like this idea because it is new and there's more in it than a festival hat. People would want to be included in it so they can, in the end, get all the pieces together to make a full festive costume that they can wear wherever and whenever they want. Also, another thing that could be added maybe after the costumes have been done is a festive emote, maybe a dance or an explosion of snow or something so once people get bored with the costumes go to emotes...then onto hats...then back onto costumes etc.

It may not work out if there's too much work for the designers and they can't do it in time. It may be a bit too stressful for the GW Team. But they could also add it in for GW 2 so they wouldn't have to make a completely new festival event just use one similar to this idea. Hopefully I've explained this to you welle nough.
