So one day I was in Kamadan questing when I saw someone say "SELLING GOLD DYE LAST CALL" so it peaked my interest and I went over to see the "dye". This is the actual conversation between me and the dye seller. M=Me S=Scammer
- M=So what is gold dye? Isn't it just yellow dye?
- S=No.
- M=Mind if I see it?
- S=The gold dye has a message under it saying it can't be traded.
- M=Where did you get this dye?
- S=Do you have alot of money?
- M=Yeah (I really did not have alot of money). Here come out and drop it on the gound.
- (We exit out to Plains of Jarin)
- M=I'll stand away so I can't steal it. Can you drop it?
- S=Says it can't be dropped. I tried applying it though and it works.
- M=So how do you expect someone to buy it if you can't tade it or drop it on the ground?
- S=Well you give me 20k and the thing you want dyed, I dye it and trade it back to you!
- M=This sounds very scammy
- S=It's not.
- M=Isn't it just a dye mix?
- S=It's not a mix. Its a three year old dye remover. (umm what?)
- M=Does it look just like yellow dye? (By now I know its a scam but I want to see what she says)
- S=No, let me talk. (She proceeds to explain how its a dye from then first week of Guild Wars, that was later removed in an update)
- M=I thaought it was a three year old dye remover? Guild Wars is five years old.
- S=No its a one charge golden dye. (Huh?)
- M=Let me ask my guild.
- S=They won't have heard of it. It's too old.
- M=The wiki will still have it.
- S=No they can't have two articles of the same name (as far as I know the wiki does not have a one charge golden dye article)
- M=Is there any way you can prove to me it's a gold dye before I give you my armor/weapon?
- S=Well lets put it this way, I can prove to you its gold dye when u give me your bad dyed armor and I dye it with your money (why are you dying things with my money?)
- M=How much does it cost?
- S=20k per piece
- M=I thought you only had one dye
- S=It's a multi charge dye (so much for one charge golden dye)
- M=No thanks I dont want to pay that much for dye. (I was bored by now)
- S=But its gold dye. well worth the cost.
- M=Good Luck! (I leave her party and put her on my ignore list)
Now I dont want to name the scammer *cough* Scarlett Foresst *cough* but dont bye dye from her. I assume she would take my armor and 20k use a dye mix to dye the armor give it back and say its gold dye ^^.
