How did you go about making that fogless map? I'm thinking about doing one for every continent. --Macros 21:52, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that the quartz one applies to every continent - I didn't make that part, but I'm assuming it was done by finding the fog texture, and setting it's transparency to full. Personally, I use Zweistein's mod now (available here), as it's a bit more intuitive imo. -- AT(talk | contribs) 21:58, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
Does it apply to the Battle Isles and Pre-Searing too? I don't want to use Zweisteins mod because I'm not going for cartographer, I just want a complete map. I think the red looks ugly. Also, if you didn't make it, who did? I might ask them. --Macros 22:16, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
I just installed it and it seems it does. Thanks, and thanks to Ailia (I found the name on the mod page) too. :) --Macros 22:25, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
(ec)Heh, beat me to it. Yup, Ailia created most of the functionality of the mod (i.e. health bars, skills, map stuff) I mainly stuck to visual stuff like the radar and UI elements. -- AT(talk | contribs) 22:26, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Dead Download Link[edit]

Hi. The download link for Quartz v2 is dead. Any other place where I can possibly download it? Thanks! --- Laibcoms (talk | Contribs) 14:45, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

I'll try and rehost it when I get time, hopefully somewhere more stable. -- AT(talk | contribs) 15:42, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
No problem. Will wait, thank you! Btw, how big is the file or package? --- Laibcoms (talk | Contribs) 01:42, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

if it breaks can we just uninstall it?[edit]

if it breakcant we just uninstall GW and re-install it? would that fix it?--Patch 23:58, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

It cannot break ~ KurdUser Kurd sig.png 09:55, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
If it ever develops problems (which is very, very unlikely) you can just run your normal GW.exe with no mods. This only works when you run it through Texmod. -- AT(talk | contribs) 18:17, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Ok well im still "dumb" so to speak about all this i havnt got a clue how to install them...--Patch 18:47, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Instructions here -- AT(talk | contribs) 20:18, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Alright i think i understand, Thank you. But the download link isnt working, I take it we have to create our own mods then?--Patch 11:05, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
You can either create your own, or browse the list of released mods here. BTW, AT, why isn't your mod on that list as well?--Pyron Sy 11:35, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
It isn't on there for 2 reasons: this link has expired, and I've not had the time to re-package and re-upload, and also there's a newer version being worked on (albeit slowly) that'll go on there when finished. -- AT(talk | contribs) 12:07, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Radar[edit]

Does the Radar come with the hero control buttons? 210.50.109.238 18:57, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

No. Newer version in the works will include it, but it's not there for now. -- AT(talk | contribs) 18:58, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
okay Looking forward to new version then.. Also, i use 4 mods all the time, is it possible to combine them all so im not loading 4 but just the 1? if so how?
Note possible, once you have a .tpf it cannot be changed ~ KurdUser Kurd sig.png 19:16, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
So if I requested someone made a certain combinatin, it could be mase as 1.tpf?? or perhaps i should hope that texmod comes out of beta and has such a feature (or to atleast remember last files)
Most mods that come in sections do so because they don't want to force people to use every feature. Saying that, it'd be easy to make a compilation (just merge all the texmod.log files), so it can't hurt to ask people to make one. I don't actually have a few of the .logs, so Ailia would be your person if you're asking about Quartz in particular :) -- AT(talk | contribs) 23:46, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
Was actually thinking bout the 3 Cartography ones (that look really sweet) + the Wiki Skills + The HP Bar one, atleast untill your one has the Hero control. Unless you can add the3 GMC Ones with the creators permission to your bundle. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:116.240.213.175 .

Inspiration?[edit]

Were you inspired by Mac OS? Because the little buttons ( quit, window, and hide ) are Mac OS like... Also Quartz is the name of the graphic technology used by Mac OS X... ( Sorry for my English I am french.... Correct me if I made any mistakes...) Darknight670 14:52, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, pretty much. I like the OS X visual style, but don't like the functionality, so I stoled it. :p -- AT(talk | contribs) 16:33, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Sooo.[edit]
