All edits to the wiki, as far as I know, show up on the Recent Changes page. These include edits to user pages and even their talk/discussion pages. Many people (including sysops/admins) patrol the RC page for vandalism/mistakes/disputes/other discussions they may be interested in. One can hide certain edits, but those edits must be minor edits (or edits made by anonymous/logged-in users, bots, or one's own edits). One cannot hide the edits of specific users, to the best of my knowledge. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me. Anyway, every time you make a change to and save your user page, it pops up as a new edit on the Recent Changes page. Many people who check that page choose the option to hide minor edits, because everyone makes mistakes and sometimes repeatedly. It's just one way to make the RC page that much cleaner and easier to scan for edits of interest. You don't have to accept my request if you don't want to. I don't think it necessarily breaks any protocol or policies. It would simply make things easier. Your call. :D 76.106.245.213 18:47, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
