I think there should be more emphesis on armor. not to a point where we MUST have it but there should be some type of reward for playing for so long. one thing i did not like in GW1 is that getting the obsidian armor had no impact on your char. wouldnt it be a good idea if there were armor plan scattered all over the place and bringing it to a crafter with the neccesary materials yeild unique armor.

What about since there is the plan of adding the swimming feature and with all the battling that you do throughout the game you had to get your armor repaired? i mean it would make it much more realistic being a warrior with all that metal armor its going to take a beating. not to mention swimming in it. you may want to treat or prevent any possible rusting of your armor thus preventing it from becoming weak and useless. repairing armor[edit]

I hope GW2 does not require repair of armor, this is one fact i feel that has seperated GW from WoW, by requiring repairing armor, it could remove some pleasure from play, and increase the time required before doing anything. If the repairing of armor is to be added, maybe a small portion of repairing is required upon death, increasing realism but not making a drastic change to the armor "system". :D--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Catheu (talk).

I kind of agree with you there who ever you are... BUT the armor thing with weakining would be a nice feature. Why you ask? Because it makes it more realistic. Thats why WoW is so sucsesive, its realistic (as far as trolls and freaky nomes go...). BUT I agree that GW2 should stay as far away from being WoW as possible.--Zole Thzarr 21:07, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Pet Armor[edit]

I think it would be cool if you could let you pet wear armor.--User Sander Sig Icon2.pngSander 17:30, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

i would like it if you could also have pet skills as in not on your bar but one for the pet of its own and be like a her but the pet bar would only have like 3 skillz

also id like to see how many people will still play gw1 when gw2 is releast coz with all switching and no interation other then the H.O.M the game could implode if gw2 dosent work to well --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:121.44.232.55 (talk).

i think wht he said wazz all gd but i think it should be a good idea to be able to trade armour --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Jholiday (talk).

Upgrades[edit]

I would like to see upgrade items for armor instead of runes. These would be visible when added or taken off. Using a system like the gems of Diablo 2 where the armor has slots and you can insert upgrades into the slots.

IE leggins have a slot where you can add a belt or a pouch any other item which can be seen on the character. It adds diversity to the look of characters as well more upgrade options. (side note ive never wrote in a wiki before, sorry if this is not how it's meant to be)

Prestige Armor[edit]

I think it would be so much better if the prestige armor was actually a much better armor. Instead of just looking nice.

Prestige Armor takes a long time to aquire and is very expensive, So what's the point of getting it? There are No actually benefits of spending all that time and effort getting the armour, as there are plenty of really nice looking armors that dont cost anywhere near as much of the players coin or time.

Prestige armor should be better in some significant way: E.g:

Increasing Armor level above the profession's usual maximum

(i.e. Eles Armor 60 could be 80 with Prestige Armor equiped).

It could contain a extra profession specific mods like +20 armour against elemental damage

(And none of this 20% chance while hexed and standing on 1 leg rubbish, Prestige armor should be beyond that). --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Molly The Axe (talk).

It could have a mod like Items attribute +4 or something.

I think it would be really sweet if you could have armor that was mixed between your primary profession and your secondary.

Armor upgrades[edit]

Someone said that it whould be cool to add a belt upgrade to your leggings, i think it whould be cool to add diffrent types of shoulders to your chestpiece, and you could upgrade the shoulders aswell. Dont tell me this is too WoWish..--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:84.248.250.50 (talk).

Companion armor[edit]

be cool if your litttle companion had armor

armor diversity and effects[edit]

most of the armor looks similar throughout the gamethey should come up with differant skins that are actually completely differant armor for example if you are a warrior and your armor has spikes on it they should act as real spikes (since you can swim and jump in the new game you could use that to help you)like you could roll into your enemey so A) you could dodge him and B)so you could do 9 or 10 damage to him cus you didn't have time to get out your sword to hit him. also if if say you can get your armor and weapons elementaly enchanted it would be cool cus if you've got our armor water enchanted a fire attack from a mesmer will do less damage o you and just for looks maybe it could make your armor steam when hit by fire but downside air(which is mostly lightning) does more damage and if you're swimming your armor is stronger some how the developers would have to do this for every pssoble combonation of enchantments 69.255.162.201 17:16, 10 June 2008 (UTC)Cabbagepatchman

using your armor as a secondary attack might be getting alittle too complex, but the elemental enchantments or upgrades would be cool, but also I dont think there should be "sets" of armor like they did in the other game, where its like "luxon chest, luxon leggings, luxon etc, and the armor would only match would that. It would be cool if each peace of armor was totaly different with a different name so your combination would look different from everybody else and wouldnt be so frequently seen as everybody else. Also I think each upgrade or enchant or w/e can slightly change the armor's look, like maybe adding "spikes" on the sholders would be an upgrade and when you add them, the spikes show up, or if you added some elemental upgrade, it would somewhat glow, or animate alittle with like a small charge of lightening streaking across quickly. 23:03, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
