In game GW communication, like TS and Vent, but not on a seperate program..., talk rooms controlled in the game, something like districts possibly... Eyol Nal Aqzen
- Maybe a downloadable TeamSpeak or Ventrilo mod, which allows you to open a window (like party window, skills, etc..), but with the online TS/Vent members. I also think an in-game message centre would be very useful, to send messages to offline people who will get a notification on the next login.--Sander 14:57, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- I suggest you make an integrated VoIP program in GW2, for example like in Counter Strike: Source. People in the same party (team) press and hold K when they want to talk and other members hear them. When they press and hold K and speak, a speaker icon appears. Like this, I think it would be nice for the speaker icon to appear next to the name in the Party members box (but this program should of course come with settings for push to talk/voice activation, etc. like in Vent). This would be nice either for people in the same guild, or in the sam party, or 2 people in a trade. I suggest channels like: Town, Guild, Party, Trade (only 2 people trading, not everyone screaming: "WTS 3 ECTOs!!!!!!")Death Demonisher 09:04, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Chat API[edit]
I think it would be really nice if there was some sort of Chat API or SOAP that would allow communication between players that are in game and players that are not. By creating an API or SOAP, you can allow other people to create the application (client) to communicate and remove the load from ArenaNet staff having to create the app. Something I have been wanting for a while so I'll just throw it out there.
