Signing + Indenting[edit]

Hi. Could you please sign using four tildes ~~~~ on talk pages? This provides both the date and a link to your userpage. Also, when replying to comments, use one more colon : at the start of the line than the previous user. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 23:29, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

  Hi.  I am an English speaking programmer.  If I have a Userpage, then someone else wasted their time creating it, not me.  When communicating in writing in the English language to a human, it is correct to indent your opening paragraph 3 spaces, and each sentence, 2 spaces.  Therefore:  4 tildes is NOT necessary, nor required, nor desired;
  As a communications professional, I can tell you that the 3 rules of communication are:
 i)Accuracy
ii)Brevity

iii)Speed under NO circumstances does one sacrifice the former for the latter, AND...

  I find it very difficult to read your post, as because it ignores standard written English rules, it runs on. Please in the future provide proper spacing in your communications.
  As for additional colons, 2 or more colons indicate "ignore", not comment. As in: "feel free to "::ignore" me.  :)
  • note:
  FYI, When I read your comment, I was gonna merely backping you with the word "noted" and a smiley; but, after following several links and wasting WAY too much time, I realized that this system is (see above) inaccurate, as it prevents simple contacts by either omitting the function or obfuscating it. Perhaps you learned this technique from Bill Gates? Since my "noted :)" comment would have been brief, but I was prevented from being brief, I was unable to be speedy. (see above) Therefore, I decided to reply in full, sacrificing speed, for brevity, sacrificing brevity, for accuracy, as is proper. (see above)
  I repeat ! Please use proper indentation when communicating with me. Thank you.

You'll see after using the preview button, that your actual post is horrifically ugly. as a programmer you should know the appearance isn't always the same as the input code. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 01:05, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
And the tildes are for producing the timestamp, not indenting. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 01:07, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
