Hi. Guild Wars Wiki is not a dictionary, it is an encyclopedia. Geode is a commonly-used term in real life. We don't have trivia entries on stuff like "The Falls," describing that waterfalls are a natural part of the world - it's assumed that the reader can use a dictionary. If a term was translated from a non-English language or if it was very obscure, then maybe it would warrant a trivia section - but Geode is pretty obvious. We really don't need that trivia entry. Fair enough[edit]

I understand your point, but i do not agree that geode is a 'commonly-used term in real life' as you put it. The example of a water fall is a commonly-used term but i believe that geode is definately a more specialist term and i therefore explained what it was in exatly the same context as other articles, such as the article on the Norn Woad, which defines what a woad is/was. You have reverted the page which is fine but i realise that Guild Wars Wiki is an encyclopedia and not a dictionary, i simply tried to inform users of the wiki on what i believe to be, for lack of a better term, an obscure phrase.

You can bring it up on the talk page of the article. If people agree that it's an obscure term we can put it back in. -Auron 14:12, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
