Caller 1: I'm using Strip Enchantments/Rigor Mortis on X! Caller 2: I'm using Spell Barrier Seal on X! Que unprotable-R-Spike. The idea made me have a small mental lapse from all the potential rage those things could cause. 141.165.171.169 05:19, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Unless your entire caster midline were also inside the seal, you'd be relying on physical damage for a real spike. User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 06:17, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, that was the idea of its synergy with an R-Spike. I suppose they could leave that particular seal unless it was stacked with Stillness as well, but I'd hope that Vent communication could get midliners clear before a spike. Quite a valuable tool and I like them quite a bit, those seals. 141.165.171.169 06:28, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
I somehow missed that entire sentence. User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 06:36, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
That's when your Summoner catches the spike with Null or Void. :> User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 06:40, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
How did I bloody well miss that pun you slipped in there? :O I suppose you spike the Summoner first then. Quite an asset you've created, Mr. Valen. 141.165.171.169 06:43, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
-_____- And thus, GW becomes Summoner&co. Vs. other-team's-Summoner&co. As even this example, I see the evolution of the spike revolving around these seals - Wall Seal up, so lolrspike, gtfo. 141.165.171.169 07:02, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Not any more than current GW is Monks&co v Monks&co.
Also, I'm considering moving Spell Barrier to Wisdom, where it won't have synergy with anything by nature.
Also, I'm not a Mr. :< User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 07:05, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Excuse my insensitivity, Ms. Valen! :O I'm not either, but we're a rare enough breed on the internet, would you not agree?
As you imagine a Guild Wars with Summoners, would Monks retain the same role as they currently do? I'm seeing more defense-turtles than the Luxons have happening that way. 141.165.171.4 16:46, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
I could see summoners replacing rits or prot monks, but they're not really going to have a way to heal, so that's going to stay firmly monk-zone. Additionally, summoners don't have the depth of prots that monks have; their skills are much... simpler. There's no Prot Spirit, no Spirit Bond, no direct hex/condition removal (I plan on moving Grand Restore), no SoA... I see Arts of Preservation more as something teams would bring on top of a monk backline in a big-damage meta (like the one we're in now), or maybe instead of a prot in a slow-damage meta (like back when the game wasn't LOLEXPLOSIONS). I think I would have preferred this to the ambiguous role of the Ritualist class, as it seems to provide much more solid support, e.g. blocking, damage reduction and armor bonuses, sometimes party-wide. I would agree that the healing mechanisms within the class are far too conditional to rely primarily upon. 141.165.171.4 21:33, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
