You have some interesting ideas here, however, I am not too fond of the idea of an armor 70 monk (with a powerful energy management primary attribute as well). I will get back to you on the specific changes (because I need to do stuff for my guild's site now) but I have one thought I'd like to share with you in the mean time. The range of those PBAoE damage spells. I believe they can easily be fixed if their range was increased to in the area. As it stands now, they are severily hampered be enemies fleeing the area during the cast and the aftercast. IMO, most of those are overpowered, but I aplaud you for trying to find a new role for Dervishes. Most of the balance suggestions I see for them either nerf them into being useless (which translates to removing their gimmicks) or make them even more gimmick by just increasing the numbers. What I believe dervishes (and assassins and ritualists) need is to have a new role, a purpose that would explain why someone would take them, instead of the current "spam WS". The only ones on Earth that I think would be a problem are AoS, Fleeting, Sand Shards (that would be a nightmare in HA), and... that other one. Staggering Force. I think the energy loss needs to be increased to 3 or 4, maybe something like 5...3...3; if you're going to be Bull's Striking things, you should have to pay for a Bull's Strike. Other than that, I think that everything is better than it was, which would be like saying that smiting is better than it was. Most derv non-elite enchantments are very, very meh. A majority of the proposed "Buffs" would make the class inevitably more over powered than they are currently, the class was designed to be enchant spamming whores, making those enchants more powerful would only add to the power creep not decrease it. --128.211.248.24 21:29, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
How well is the whole enchant whoring thing going atm? They were designed to do it, sure, but it's a bad design. Frontline is supposed to hit stuff, and anything that takes away from that makes them less effective. Hence, most dervishes don't spam enchantments.
