Page is huge because the "your team" skill icons aren't 2x2. How2fix? -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 02:48, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
No idea. I exhausted my wikitableknowledge making the table. :< User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 03:00, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Hey, Ryuu, can you make a show/hide thing for the descriptions? That'd make the page, like, not huge! :D User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 22:37, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Showhide does not affect page size, unless you meant in terms of scrolling. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 22:38, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
If the notes entries weren't lulmassive, the skill overview wouldn't be in columns, so the page would be a lot smaller. Like, visually. Also, did you get that thing yet? User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 23:17, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Actually, it's because of the size of the icons you're using... you could make them smaller and get them to fit on one row. Of course, at a certain point they get unrecognizable, even for someone like me who knows nearly all of them at a glance. That being said, the Notes column would have to be the current height that it is due to the length of the entries... I messed around with it a bunch yesterday, but I'm not a great coder and I can't seem to stick an expandable class (i.e. "showhide") inside the table without breaking it. I might have another idea, though - it's an obscure piece of code from GuildWiki which may or may not work here - which could cut down page size nearly as much, at the expense of making the descriptions a bit harder to read.
And, no, I haven't gotten that thing yet. :< Vili 点 User talk:Vili 20:53, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Meh. I can't get it to work for this sort of a layout, because...well, how it works is that you have an image, say, User Jette awesome.png , and instead of the normal alt text it {{transcludes}} the contents of another page. That way you can read this "hover text" while the actual document in all its bulkiness is somewhere else. However, I don't know how (or if) you can transclude just a single #Subsection of a page, which is what would make it work ... otherwise, you'd need a separate page for each description and that would be redundant. I guess you could just put the descriptions in the alt text [[Image:normally.png|like this]], but that would make the page code even messier.
Idle thought: You could have just one big column, and each entry would span an entire column. The skills would come first, then the description, then the signature. This would look a bit less pretty, but would probably save you some space since there would be more room for the text. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 21:10, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
I would love to help your research, but I only play stupid builds like mending bonder, so I would probably skew the results. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 05:31, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Go for it, anyway, imo. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 6:47, 26 Jul 2010 (UTC)
