Hi, this is in response to your suggestion to use Xinrae's Weapon as a counter to Searing Flames and your comment that a hammer war with 5(!) attack skills could take down an ele.
Xinrae's Weapon is an obscure, basically useless elite that would counter Searing Flames pretty well, but would be useless against everything else. When you're in Heroes' Ascent, you have to fight just about every build imaginable; sacrificing a character slot, lots of attributes, and an elite simply to counter one build doesn't cut it. It will make you fail in the long run, even if it does well against one build.
Next, yes, Elementalists have 60 armor. This makes them quite squishy. However, hammer warriors can't hit anything (much less kill it) if they're lying dead on the ground. If, by some miracle, the hammer warrior actually manages to build up enough adrenaline for a chain, his damage will be either healed or protted by the monks. One SB before hammer chain -> win. Hell, one dismiss in the middle of it to remove Deep Wound renders the entire thing ineffective. That's not even going into how bad it is to bring five attack skills.
I hope I've responded well enough to your suggestions. -Auron 17:35, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Xinrae's Weapon is bad against casterspike just as much as it is against everything else. For 10 seconds out of every 30(if you have the energy), they can't hit one person. --Edru viransu 17:56, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
You could comment further without breaking the NPA, cheers to Auron --Cursed Angel 23:39, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
