Hello[edit]

I couldn't help but notice that your character pages were a bit of a mess, so I hope you don't mind if I fix them up a bit. Take out the red links, fix those template bugs, etc. Nivawk 16:38, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Heya thanks for that. :D Loving that colour, makes it look so much better. :D --Sam6555 17:08, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
The color change was because the template you were using asked for profession, and that always mean just A for assassin. Something to keep in mind for the future. Nivawk 16:44, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
I see sorted my warrs aswell. I put W/any on his so I changed to just W, thanks again. :D--Sam6555 17:25, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
I am very glad to be of service. I can see you are pretty good at the wiki thing. ^^ Oh, one of the other fixes I made was you don't need the "gw:" in front of your internal links. I'm guessing that's PvX syntax. Nivawk 16:48, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Ahh right, I guess the gw: specifies that the link comes from GWW imstead of from what wiki the page is on.. :) Heh spose i'm a little good with coding here on the wikis, easy to figure out. Still a little O_O'd with tables though. >< Would like to make my userpage look a bit better than just a load of links. :P Well thanks for the help...again. :D Much appreciated. --Sam6555 21:22, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

About the Setup[edit]

You asked for help with your user space on my Wiki talk page. If you tell me what you want for your user space, I can try and develop the pages for you. Note that I'm also new to this whole HTML coding thing. I've had some troubles while working with it as well. However, I've been testing out templates that other users have posted for general use. As you saw, I've been working on it a lot. However, if you tell me what you want for it, I can try and do it for you. No promises, though! Silver Tsumugari 23:41, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Hehe thats cool. Well what I was looking for was something like the way you have yours, with tabs and stuff across the top rather than me just having a list of links on my userpage. I see that sort of style on almost everyone elses userpage and think "I want that on mine!" :P Be good if they could put something on here instead of coding, even if it's only paint. It would still be easier ^_^ --Sam6555 23:57, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
I guess that would be easier. If you just go to "edit" on the top of one of my pages, below the editor box, it'll show you the templates that used in my pages. Then, just use the links to those templates and paste them onto your page and edit them as needed. Silver Tsumugari 00:09, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Heh sweet, I guess that would a lot easier/quicker ;) Thanks =D Woulda done that before to other peoples but didn't think it would be right ^^ --Sam6555 00:13, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, people often post templates for anyone to use. They're very useful! Silver Tsumugari 04:04, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Tales of Symphonia and Character templates[edit]

Nice to see another ToS fan. And if you're not, how come you've got the names of several (5 I noticed) protagonists/antagonists in-game? On a semi-related note, the template you are trying to use for your characters is using the profession colour templates, so reworking them would take a lot. To start, you'd need to copy them all over into your own userspace (for example, User:Sam6555/Templates/Character) change all the transcluded links in the template, and set up {{#switch:}} parser functions to change the colours. Or you could just add another parameter to set which colour scheme you use. If this is too complex, just say and I'll try and explain it more... that is, if you still want to recolour the character templates.Cake! Ebany 16:25, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Edit: I just noticed someone helped you fix up your broken template colours on a section above this. Never mind what I said :P —Cake! Ebany 16:26, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Heh yea ToS is in my top 5 games on the gamecube. Also if my names aren't from ToS, they are probably from Fire Emblem:Path of Radiance, which is also top 5 material. On a side note, I don't think I will bother myself with the colours on the tabs. But if anyone else has spare time and does it for me it would be much appreciated. :) --Sam6555 20:16, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Just remembered one of my char names is from Skies of Arcadia, Fina Cupill. --Sam6555 20:17, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I remember that! My #1 Dreamcast game, that. Stuck in that industrial place, right now, for the yellow moon thingy. Need to play that more —Cake! Ebany 21:01, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Heh they ported it onto the GC and I played it then, never owned or even touched a DC :( The best way to fight hard fights such as the 3 end bosses are focus on Fina+Vyse and use Aikas field barrier(?) and the prince' spell shieldy thingy, can't even remember his name >< But use those 2 party shields+constant focus until you can use prophecy, and repeat ^^ Made the game so easy, even made a vid on my youtube channel of me beating Elcial, the looper and IMO harder than the end-bosses :) Guess I should put a link on my GWW page to my youtube account.....brb :P --Sam6555 22:18, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Links up :) --Sam6555 16:01, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Nice. Didn't know that the prince of the Yellow Moon joined your party. Going to watch your videos now. —Cake! Ebany 18:19, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Not bad, but a very slow battle. Got a bit bored watching, tbh. Also, I had a try and getting the two rows of five tabs in your sandbox, but the code is very messy and I think it would work better if I used wiki syntax rather than html. I'll have another try in my own userspace. —Cake! Ebany 18:45, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Done: User:Ebany_Salmonderiel/SandboxCake! Ebany 19:11, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Yea the battle with Elcian does go painfully slow, but is a surefire way of doing it, and hes a repeatably enemy and iirc he drops a variety of different weapon. The party shields are the best cause his Pyri can hit 4k to everyone and his Attack does around the same I think, this was all done when my party was all around lvl 44 (lvl 45 I beat the final bosses) Must have beaten him around 20-30 times when I was playing it about 2 years ago now. ^_^ Excellent game though. Going to look at this link now :) --Sam6555 21:58, 23 June 2009 (UTC) Looks pretty decent, Might give a little copy/paste :> Thanks --Sam6555 22:01, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
