Avatar of Grenth Avatar of Grenth

Erasculio's Issue -- 15:16, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Discussion

Issue
PvE-wise, this skill is too weak. It is only useful in areas filled with enchanted enemies that also have some sort of blocking skill; in such areas, often enchantment removal is more useful to the party than keeping the enemy enchanted just so this skill works. There's also no synergy between this skill and the other Grenth skills that remove enchantmens.
Suggestion
Split this skill into a PvP version and a PvE version; keep the PvP one as it is, and return the PvE one to its old functionality. It wasn't that useful in PvE in the first place, but it was better than this skill is now.

Ninjas In The Sky's Issue -- 12 June, 2008

Issue
  • Too weak, compared with other Forms. Avatar of Balthazar gives you enough armor to halve all physical and elemental damage. It also gives you a speed boost. And holy damage is better.

AoM gives you immunity to conditions. Costs more energy and has a lower duration but still better. AoL is the Dervish skill most commonly used avatar for damage. AoD heals you and removes a hex upon a skill use. What's left? This avatar. This one is unblockable by enchanted foes. So what? If the party doesn't have Pensive Guardian, Aegis, Critical Defenses or Guardian, this skill is totally useless.

Solution
  • Give it a small life stealin amount from enchanted foes.
  • Change damage type to Shadow, Dark or Chaos.
  • Add a small inherent damage boost (roughy 15 at 15 mysticism)
  • Add the clause "When you use an attack skill, one foe in the area looses an enchantment."

Issue
  • You are basically becoming the grim reaper here. Make it a bit more menacing.
Solution
    • Change a small portion of this skill to make it more of a "threat" in PvP and more appealing in PvE.
  • Change damage type to Dark or Shadow. <this will make it un-usable with conjures, balancing the damage mostly.
    • AND/OR
  • Remove PvP/PvE versions and have it always do lifestealing. Can remove "cannot be blocked" aspect of the skill if that is cause for concern.

Souless Woman's Issue

Issue,

Same as the person above

Solution,

Also the same as the person above Or The April fools skill idea is not bad, changed functionality to: "For 10..90 seconds, your attacks steal 1..2 enchantments from any foe you hit and apply those enchantments to you." I'm just saying make the Elite skill something worth taking to battle! I can't see how anyone would have a Problem this this idea its not like it makes the Skill Over powered, Because of 1 good reason. To get he real affect of the ability you have to be able to hit them. So with that being said if you are blind you can not reap the benefits (No pun intended). Just something to think about. --Cornfry32 05:22, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
