Nasty Disable Duration
- Issue
- The recent nerf which added a 10-second disable duration to non-mesmer skills was successful in decreasing the effectiveness of Fast Casting Lingering Curse builds or other FC builds with SoH, but it also hurts "pure" mesmers who might take one or two non-mesmer skills, even if it's something like Flesh of My Flesh. This seems pretty unfair, especially given that SoH already has a 3 cast and lasts only about 60% of its recharge time (at normal attribute levels). In the current PS-Teaseway meta, this is needed to shut down things like PnH but is very vulnerable to things like Tease, so nerfing it is a bit harsh.
- Suggestion
- The change made was fairly successful in that it only really hurt FC LCs and things, but I still think it hurt normal mesmers a bit too much (mainly for disabling their res skills). Thus I would suggest that the disable duration be decreased to somewhere more in the region of 5 or so seconds (this would still hurt FC LCs as 5 seconds of shutdown is still bad when it's all your bar, but wouldn't be too bad on "normal" mesmers). Alternately, make it scale, e.g. 10...6...5 seconds, so that X/Me people don't get as much benefit. Another option would be to have some other effect (e.g. a 1 second longer recharge) which scales with equipped non-mesmer skills (and then possibly decrease the recharge to ~18 to compensate).
Borked after update
- Issue
- This skill is both overpowered and trash. It's overpowered since skill disable can't be countered, the only counter to this is interrupts, it costs nothing to use, and is quite spammable for its effect. It's trash due to the cast time and skill disable.
- Suggestion
- Change name to Humility, give it 5 energy cost, decrease cast to 1 second, decrease duration to 1...7...9 seconds, decrease recharge to 15, make the skill count as a hex so that it can be removed/countered more easily.
