Hexbreaker Aria Hexbreaker Aria

Spura's Issue -- 14:33, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Discussion

Issue
Highly conditional on party make up.(bad for pve)
Most of hexes target physicals, not casters in pvp
Suggestion
For the love of god, change this to Hexbreaker Song (ends on any skill rather than spell)
(with 2 sec cast, something like Power Return can just own this skill in pvp anyway)

Counter for Hexway?

Issue
8 Adrenaline, 2 Activation time and only works on spells. However, this has a lot of potential.
Suggestion
The ability to remove hexes from multiple allies at once makes this potentially quite powerful. Short of the above suggestion, simply improving it a bit could help make it a counter to hexway (since while there are one or two multiple hex removers, there aren't any viable party-wide ones). It only works on spells, but all teams have at least two healers and many have at least a couple of midliners like eles or necros - plus, many frontliners may take at least one spell (dervs have enchantments, warriors may have things like Grasping Earth et.c.). Furthermore, someone will often go /P anyway to take SoC and "MH!", and since this is essentially unlinked they could squeeze it in to, if they had the space.
Anyway, I would just improve the numbers a bit:
Hexbreaker Aria Hexbreaker Aria. 6 Adrenaline 1 Activation time 4 Recharge time.
Chant. For 8...11...12 seconds, the next time each ally within earshot casts a Spell, that ally loses 1 Hex, and the caster of that Hex loses 1...3...3 Energy.
By decreasing the adrenaline cost but increasing the recharge, you limit its overuse by people with IASs and adrenaline-boosters, while still allowing people to cast it almost as often just by wanding. Decreasing the activation is the main buff, since now it's a lot harder to interrupt and doesn't occupy you for as long. The Energy bit is just a random idea I added to improve it a bit - basically, it punishes Hex users and also relieves pressure by denying them energy. By linking the duration and energy loss to Leadership, it actually becomes worthwhile to put this on a paragon now (other than Leadership's energy gain) - however, it's still effective at removing hexes on a paragon secondary since 8 seconds is more than long enough for someone to cast a spell under it.
Anyway, just an idea to get people thinking a bit.
