Axe Rake
Done25's Issue -- Weak damage
- Issue
- It's a non-conformist *rage* D:<
- Suggestion
- Double the damage to match it's sister skill Axe Twist. Cripple is't that much overly powerful if the person your fighting isn't going to run away. (Another warrior)
Whirling Axe
BetrayedArk's Issue -- 11:50, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
Whirling axe has no use in PvP because of the massive block way
- Suggestion
Change Whirling Axe so that it has higher Adren. to 3 strikes, Lower damage to +18, Make the skill activation 1/2 second remove the "If blocked part".
Edi's Issue -- 11:50, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
This skill have no use in PvP. Even lowered block duration will not imporve it's usefulness, because there are much better alternatives.
- Suggestion
Completely rework it. In example:
- Burning Axe 6
- Elite Axe Attack. If this attack hits, you strike for +5..17..20 damage and target foe begins burning for 0..2..4 seconds.
8765's Issue -- 21:05, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
Same as above. The 15 sec disable is too long.
- Suggestion
To me, the icon looks like a thrown axe. "If this attack hits, you strike for +5..17..20 damage. This skill has half the normal spell range. If it is blocked, Whirling Axe is disabled for 5 seconds."
Still Underpowered 12:40, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
- Still underpowered
- Suggestion 1
- Add a "While activating this skill, you have a 75% chance to block attacks" clause. This is the same as someone suggested on the skill's Talk Page.
- Reasoning
- This might seem like a wierd (and bad) idea but since this is a highly spammable skill, you will get the block effect for a high total time. To maximise on this you could also make it a slower attack than other skills but buff the damage from +5...17...20 to, say, +8...26...30 for example. The disabled duration needs to be reduced too though.
- Suggestion 2
- 2 2
- "If Whirling Axe hits, you strike for +5...17...20 damage and attack up to 2 other adjacent foes for +3...10...12 damage."
- Also add a recharge of a second or two so that the three hits don't instantly recharge it.
- Reasoning
- This gives it an extra AoE effect (like Cyclone Axe) as a buff and replaces the disabled duration if it's blocked with losing the bonus effect, so it's overall more powerful but still fits in with the "whirling" theme.
- New Suggestion (No. 3)
- 5 2
- "Attack target foe and up to 2 other adjacent foes for +3...15...18 damage. Each attacking foe you hit is interrupted, and if that foe was using an attack skill it takes an additional 5 seconds to recharge."
- Reasoning
- Like above, it makes it like an elite, adrenaline-based Cyclone Axe, and while it deals only slightly more damage it only hits up to three targets. This isn't as much as a drawback as it sounds, though, since (good) foes rarely clump up together that much anyway. On the other hand, it should be better overrall since it loses the increased recharge bit and gains the ability to interrupt (and disable) attacking foes, making it nice for linebacking. It would also help to charge up other adrenaline skills since it hits multiple times.
Lann's Issue -- 12 June, 2008
- Issue
Weak effect, bad downside, useless in pvp
- Suggestion
Make it like its sword cousin quivering blade
- 2 . If Whirling Axe hits, you strike for 5...17...20 damage. If this attack is blocked, you are dazed for 8 seconds.
Olds' Issue -- 10 July 2008
- Issue
Like Cleave, but more boring.
- Suggestion
8 If this attack hits, you strike for +15..27..30 damage and do a critical hit. This skill has normal spell range. Hits all foes in the path. While the attack is en route, you cannot attack.
Durga Dido's Proposal
- Issue
- The disabling part of this skill makes it unwanted.
- Suggestion
- 2 If Whirling Axe hits,Whirling Axe does +4...8 damage (maximum bonus 32 ) for each other fully charged adrenaline skill you have.
Frosty's Issue
- Issue
- For an elite axe attack you really want some damage.
- Suggestion
- Either up the damage/make the skill 1 second attack for quicker damage application OR
- Completely redesign the skill, into Elite Axe Attack, Interrupts target foe's action, if that foe was using a Spell, you deal +5...17...20 and any stances target foe has are disabled for 2...5...7 seconds. 5 Adren, 1 sec activation or maybe 1/2.
