Guild Comissions Discussion

1. Good idea with good basis, needs a little more thought into the interface of how it works though. How about a NPC "messenger" from the quest giver (EX. Queen's messenger from the Queen) arrives in your guild hall randomly, with increasing probability with increasing guild size, and also with a maximum number of visits per month that increases as well. (EX. A large guild probably will be visited once, rarely twice a week.) The guild can not recieve another guild visitor untill either the guild quest of the previous visitor is completed, failed, or rejected.

2. Also, quest difficulty should go up or down in levels, starting at the bottom level and working up. Let's say your guild is "level 1", the easiest level. At "level 1", your more likely to be visited by a local farmer with a small plant monster problem. At "level 9", the second to hardest level, you will most likely to be visited by the Queen's Embassary for protecting the city against an invasion of undead dragons, and perhaps even building walls, towers, and etc. to help defend the city. At "level 10", the hardest level, The Queen herself or the new "Master of Whispers" to clear out a high-level demonic ritual on a strictly "need-to-know" basis. As you complete these quests you gain exp for the next "guild level", if you fail it you loose exp, if you reject it you loose not so much exp.

3. To go with suggestion 2, perhaps implement a few "level 0" quests to train the guild leader in how to recruit, then apointing officers, first visitor, etc. Basically a "guild tutorial" that each seperate quest is repeatable to train new members as well. Apon completing all "level 0" quests you get exactly enough exp to reach level 1, and you can not go back to level 0. You can still do the level 0 quests w/o reward and failing a level 0 quests NEVER makes your guild loose exp.

4. Lastly, these quests should take place in an instanced world-pvp-like environment, accessable in the quest state only by guild members and guild guests. --Elven Chaos 01:17, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

That's a pretty good idea, but maybe have an option skip level 0 quests if you feel you already have the know how. But guild guests probably shouldn't be involved since they are only guests. Freddy-voorhees 19:12, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
