A very poor suggestion. A quality game needs a wide selection of content and rewards, from mundane and common to elite and rare. Even extreme rares which are out of reach for most players are good for the game - they provide long term goals, something to go for. If everything was easy and cheap, instantly accessible for everyone, it would became boring in no time. Longeivity, different ways of progression, and meaningfull rewards are what make a quality game. --Yawg 16:13, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

I agree. The point of elite, uber expensive armors is to function as a gold sink. If no such armors existed, these filthy rich players who own multiple Vabbian and Obsidian sets would be EVEN RICHER! I think a better suggestions would be to introduce a way for the casual player to earn the materials just as easily as these super-farmers. However, prestige armor is what it is: it's there to show an accomplishment, and sometimes even skill level. Sure people can pay for a run, or have their guildies do all the work, so they can craft Obby armor. But it's still a mark of achievement. I wish they would restrict armor to ascended characters, which would prevent those silly level 1 characters with elite armor showing it off in ascalon. --ChristopherRodrigues 19:22, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps, rather than more/cheaper armors, a separate line of "armor" that serves no combat function should be offered (Essentially, clothing). The look of the pieces would vary quite greatly from the armor lines and allow greater creativity and design as it will not need to give the impression of protecting your character. It would serve an aesthetic purpose mostly, and [likely] not cause any balancing issues, as it serves no function in battles. The prices/rarity of such pieces could vary as well. OK armor isn't expensive and the only ones that are, are the good looking one and if u can't afford it don't buy it cuz it has the same armor protection as the less good lookin cheaper one --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:64.12.117.130 (talk).
