Aljazya's Discussion
Did I do it right? :S!!!! Aljazya 13:43, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- I spose. However, your balance suggestion would make it grossly overpowered, no energy ftw. Dark Morphon(contribs) 16:31, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
grossly overpowered , the ONLY buff it can recive and it would make it a little overpowered , is increasing the degeneration to -3 or -4 189.70.149.39 20:15, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- I suppose the closest skill to compare to this one is Power Leak, which was recently re-adjusted and is in a good place, imo. Note that -3 degen for 10 seconds is worth 10 energy, so -2 for 10 seconds is worth just under 7 energy. To buff this skill to make it elite-worthy, I increase the energy degen to -2..4 , and then allow it to interrupt any action, but activate the degen only on interrupting a skill. It can be used more often, and the degen is valued differently from energy loss because it has an effect over time and energy can't be hidden here, but it could be removed as a hex. The recharge is the main strength of this skill.--Skye Marin 04:13, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Power Flux doesn't need much change to be useful Either:
- Drop recharge to 5
or
- Drop energy cost to 5
Either way will make it worth a slot on a paragon. Lightblade 10:41, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- How about adding Health degeneration 3-5 along with the energy degeneration. 216.218.214.2 14:44, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- I suggest making it cause daze for 2-5 seconds after the hex ends.(Marsc 19:17, 6 March 2008 (UTC))
- Bad idea!!! O_O" 86.62.250.4 20:22, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- Daze after the hex ends is actually pretty decent. It's a telegraphed daze, so it can be removed pretty easily, but it also gives the other team time to prepare to capitalize on the daze. Personally I'd just increase the degen to -3, and possibly lengthen the hex duration to 12@14 dom.Akirai Annuvil 16:35, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- Why do people think 12 seconds of -3 degen is a big deal? Power leak does 10sec of -6e degen instantly and isnt even an elite. I dont see the problem with making this a 5-10e 10-15 r rupt with 10 sec of -6(8?) of edegen.--64.229.144.133 03:27, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- Cause powerleak usually drains a lot less than it says on the skill. File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 21:25, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- And skills are elite why? And hex removal says this will still likely drain less than pleak.--SiDima 11:08, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, I ain't saying this is good, it's not. I'm just saying why it has to be on a different comparison than powerleak. Oh, and nobody wastes removals on pflux. File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 09:25, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

- Considering now Power Flux is half the recharge of Power Leak. I think it's power is justified. To those that think it only drains 6 energy for full duration, think also that is provokes a hex remove attempt. Hex remove is 1 sec cast, this is a good chance to slip a pleak. Lightblade 01:53, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'd doesn't provoke a hex removal, nobody will waste hex removal on Pflux when there is a mesmer around. what it does is lock energy, but a buff to -3 degen should be okay. File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 09:20, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

As this skill is in the domination line why not make it an elite version of Web of Disruption? "If target foe is interrupted then the next 1..3 spells or chants cast in 10 seconds are also interrupted." This change would make it a genuine rival to energy surge and power block as a desirable skill. IMO all elite skills should be equally desirable in a skill line but for different reasons and be about 20% better than a similar skill for that class. Don Knowall 07:41, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- That suggestion is very much broken Don. Sort of a "triple shame/guilt". It's.. very, very much broken. I think upping the degen to 3 fixes the problem. NUKLEAR IIV 10:33, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- Upping degen to 3 would work but the skill balancers were deliberately making e-denial less effective over the past few years for rangers and mesmers so a reversal in that policy makes me think it would be unlikely without punishing the caster badly like 'ether lord' and 'The power is yours!'. I was not suggesting that damage was done to the caster, the caster has any energy degeneration or that energy is given to the user like guilt or shame, I was thinking of a 20 second recharge rate and no requirement for a secondary skill to guarantee a second or third interrupt but I had not added that to my initial posting. Don Knowall 19:35, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- They buffed all e-denial skills dude. the obviously want more edeny. -- NUKLEAR IIV 19:40, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- assuming 5 e cost and 10 recharge -3 pips is good, -2 pips is also good if duration is extended to 18 sec this way itll provoke a hex removal, as it is right now panic is cheaper and unconditional in comparison to this--64.229.153.158 18:11, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
