You can make this godly just by changing the mechanic to: "Target foe's elite skills cost 7 more energy to activate." Lightblade 10:43, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

yah, but with like a 10 energy cost and 15 sec recharge, the stats it have now is cuz it only activate once with a lame effect, i guess izzy thought the idea of it was cool but is afraid to make it useful --Cursed Angel talk 08:58, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
I think it could be safely changed to: 5e/2c/15r Hex Spell. For six seconds, the next time target foe attempts to use an Elite skill, that skill fails and you steal 5...14 energy from that foe. Carbon copy of shame/guilt, but for elite skills with a faster recharge. Failing that, make it a 5...15 second hex that causes the target foe to lose 5 energy whenever they use an Elite, rather than only once.
That is a fucking deadly suggestion, lightblade. ohh, how about we go for a different route? For 10 seconds, target foe's skills that cost above 10 energy cost 7 more energy. Punishes "pride". File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 21:22, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
This is skill already deadly in E-Denial Builds as a potent cover hex from domination line. Think of a monk, which has a tendency to spam its elite skill, or a Blinding Surge ele, where repeated e-denial will force them to blind less. --Angelic Loki 15:30, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
No, not really. This skill is horrible, and that repeated denail willl either drain no energy or the ele won't care. File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 09:30, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
BSurge's in GvG tend to use the skill every 6-7 seconds. 7 energy every 7 seconds equated to 3 pips of energy degen. assuming they used it every 21 seconds, thats 1 pip of energy degen, meaning they have effectively Wither on them, which is an elite. Monks use RC more often, same with WoH, and even 1 pip of degen can be fatal to a monk if left on long enough. Do the math on the edenial. While it may not be efficient on things such as dual attunes, or even paragons where their elite is usually accessory, someone who uses their elite every game and often will be hurt by this skill a lot. Its worth noting as well that most Panic Mesmers will use this as a cover hex to add e-denial pressure. Seriously. The skill hurts a lot if used right. Its balanced. --Angelic Loki 10:58, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Actually, this is better than wither because of one thing. Once you get lotsa edeny, you jsut use a 10 energy bar, making price of pride a little weak compared to wither. point well taken, tho. File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 File:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 15:50, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
How about simply adding "that skill fails and..." before the energy loss bit. Like an elite-only Shame. It gives no energy gain to the caster and though it works on any kind of skill, it only works on elite ones, so it should still be fairly balanced. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:81.107.196.50 (talk).
