Completely agree. I'd go for 4r tho... and its a conditional pin down. --User:Frvwfr2 frvwfr2 (talk · contributions) 06:16, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

I know, it's much better bringing Pin Down + Hunter's Shot or Apply Poison + Crippling Shot. At least the pin down combination is only partially conditional, recharges faster, and isn't elite. The Crippling Shot combination is unblockable.
Melandru's Shot would be balanced if it wasn't elite.
4 second recharge is a bit excessive, how about 5 seconds, same as hunter's shot.
6-8recharge gets my vote.
5-6 seconds seems good for this skill. Agreed?

Good job, everyone. Thanks, Anet!

Finally this skill got a recharge reduction that it deserved. IMO 6 second recharge would be better but at least it got a small buff.

Too much. The ability to spam 3 conditions on people every six seconds from only 2 skills (Apply + this) is imba. As Dark mentions on the main page, consider Wounding Strike, which spams 2 (deadly) conditions every 3 seconds with 1 skill. But most of all, it's seeing play. People use it. It's not overpowered. If you push it to the point of being overpowered, then Anet will kill it and not bring it back. Stop fucking with skills that don't need changing. 76.89.94.179 23:13, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
And 2 of the conditions are conditional? Burning Arrow is just plain better than this.
That's why this is meta, and BA isn't, amirite? 66.75.136.251 22:57, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Because so-called "high-end" PvPers are stupid?

Ignore Dark Morphon

This is never going to cause Wounding Strike-style problems.

  • Crippled covers bleeding.
  • 5 second > 3 seconds.
  • This is way more conditional. You can force the Wounding Strike conditional to occur, you cannot force foes to move.
  • Deep wound is a better than crippled for spiking.
  • Conditions are still RC food.
  • And poison covers the both of them.
  • Anything less than 8 second recharge screams OP
  • Play/obs some gvg. This skill has no condition
  • This is not meant to be a spike skill. It reeks of pressure.
  • Probably 75% of the time this is used the RC monk will be half a map away.
Very very viable borderline OP skill as is. Does not at all need a buff. Oh, and please sign your comments.--Revelations 15:49, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Read this
  • Not everyone uses apply poison. I personally prefer Read the Wind and a flatbow.
  • So you want rangers to end up autoattacking half the time WHILE having the worst DPS of any weapon? If I want to mindlessly press the spacebar without using skills that I'll go to WoW.
  • Sorry to inform you of this groundbreaking discovery but GvG is not everything.
  • Me and one of my friends use this for range spike in alliance battles. I know that this isn't going to see much use in serious HA/GvG rangespikes but 2 people spiking with "Dual Shot/Forked Arrow, Melandru's, Hunter's, then Savage Shot using Read the Wind" can easily catch the average player off guard. (Once me and my friend caused an entire opposing team to ragequit because they couldn't handle getting range spiked every time they spawned.)
  • Get a new RC monk or learn some tactics.
  • Crippled covers bleeding. Yes, you heard that correctly. This means that one condition removal renders this useless(since when is bleeding any good)
Thanks Revelations. Might I also add that this is a multi-function skill that can be used for a shitload of situations? I think this one is clear. Keep as is because if you don't, it'll get out of hand. Dark Morphon(contribs) 17:18, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
