Lancy's proposal

What issue is this supposed to address? -- Gordon Ecker 00:41, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

My other buffs to the spirits was the fact that I made them more active in the sense that they had reduced durations , reduced cast times and reduced energy costs. The current Ritual Lord(60%) would drastically reduce the recharge of these rituals which would be sort of imba having a spirit (for example, displacement)have an infinite effect on the party.--Lancy1214 21:25, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
IMO you should use a combanied suggestion page such as ArenaNet:Skill feedback/Ritualist/Make Binding Rituals active, not passive. I've tagged this suggestion page for deletion, as it has no context and doesn't address any current issues on its' own. -- Gordon Ecker 23:18, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Personally, gordon, I'd be more happy if he wrote the grounds for the change and we kept it. Combined suggestion pages are boring to read, and I would assume, not at all that helpful to izzy. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 20:17, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
I don't like the precedent of allowing skill feedback suggestions which only address hypothetical future issues. -- Gordon Ecker 23:18, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
I stated an issue now, sorry about that:O--Lancy1214 00:22, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
People who make changes to my suggestions PLEASE leave your name. I found half of the skills functionalities and things were different. Again, please sign your name and explain why you feel the skill needs to be nerfed/buffed.--Lancy1214 19:51, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I am the one who added health bonus last night. Reason being before its nerf, old-Ritual Lord + Boon of Creation compensated for defense-Rituals high cost, long recharge and short duration... with "Active" version they still dont last long enough, but the first two are no longer an issue. Duration is partly mitigated by tieing Spawning Power to it, and the removal of the recharge bonus proves its function is obselete (one could always use Quickening Zephry). The Health bonus is to compensate for diminished levels and make RL more useful for spirits like Rejuvanation and Agony. -- Falconeye.
I got rid of the recharge reduction as a 33% reduction in recharge ALONG with the conditional lengethened spirits (For x amount of Spawning Power, x lasts an additional one second) could be overpowered.--Lancy1214 22:16, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

-- Compare Addendum-version to Soul Twisting http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Soul_Twisting. Lets not forget Explosive Minion Bombing, Asuran Summoning, and Vanguard Assassin Support -- all of which could create fun synergy with Ritual Lord now that it increases both Health and Lifespan -- so I added the Summoned/Created clause. The 33% activation time alone gives Rits bloodstained-like effect at cost of Elite slot, something that only cost's Necro's an armor slot. I doubt this has -any- significant bearing on PvP, since minions are already hard to comeby (and you cant use Jagged Bones or Order of Undeath either). And in case your wondering, RL has no effect if either conditions are not met; strengthening ‘Active’-concept. If there are no spirits you control, but have any-number of recharging binding ritual, they are randomly recharged. If control least 1 Spirit, it functions as is.

In PvE, I would already be using it with Empowerment as cheap/spammable spirit to empower/activate the 33% buffs; and in PvP it would give a tactical option of doing the same. And where is the fun of being a Ritualist if you are not going to perform a complicated series of arcane preparations (better known as Rituals). And what if all your spirits are dead? If you have chosen your build right, you already have high probability of getting the Spirit you need -NOW-. The old-RL required least half-bar worth of spirits to make it worth it; with this, even if you only take 1 Spirit, the 'Random Recharge-clause' guaranteed that it will be recharged and ready to go per 15 seconds... Essentially a psuedo-Glyph of Renewal for Binding Rituals!
