Category talk:Rewards Platinum

I don't think this is quite the right category. There is a category:High XP Reward, whish is kinda what I think you're trying to do here. But just "Rewards Platinum" could also include 1k rewards, and I'm not sure that's what you're going for. --JonTheMon 13:37, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Well, I'm working on finding the quests for the list right now. I was thinking to farm for platinum in general. If I find enough that reward 5k, 10k or more I'll modify the category to only contain those ones.--Lizardorb 13:45, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
I just think that you need to set your threshold now, so you don't have to remove this category from a lot of pages. Also, if you're going for "Category:High Platinum Reward", you should figure out the naming now. --JonTheMon 13:47, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
Well, I've gone through Core, Prophecies and Factions and only found a few that even reward a platinum, so I'm keeping it as is, listing quests that reward at least 1 platinum.--Lizardorb 14:14, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
Most of the zaishen quests reward at least a plat. I still think you should put at least a 5k threshhold. --JonTheMon 14:26, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
Well, I've done everything but the zaishen at this point. Very few quests even reward a platinum. I could put a note at the top that this doesn't include zaishen?--Lizardorb 15:03, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
If this category is 1k or more, you should include those for completeness. And yes, this category is a bit smaller than I initially thought. --JonTheMon 15:25, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
I was thinking of sorting the Zaishen Quests under Z so that they don't bog down the rest of the category. Do you think I should update the ones in the "High XP Reward" category to do the same?--Lizardorb 15:27, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
After looking at High XP Reward cat, I don't think you should need to sort them into Z as they have (Zaishen quest) after their name. --JonTheMon 16:02, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
So...Do have I have a go to finish the category with the Zaishen Quests? --Lizardorb 16:05, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
Uh, not quite sure what you're asking, but sure, go ahead and add this cat to the appropriate zquest pages. --JonTheMon 16:20, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
Lol, just making sure you didn't mind me finishing up the category. ^.^--Lizardorb 16:23, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Delete[edit]

These sections are quite pointless. The High Xp reward one is useful only because it can aid people trying to level up or get survivor but this one is ridiculous. If we put every damn quest into a category like this, its going to become unnecessarily complicated. I see your trying to be helpful here but i vote to delete this categoryThe Emmisary 16:53, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Well, things are useful to different people. I added this category after running out of platinum while skill capturing, and finishing a few high-end quests seemed like a decent idea for speedily refilling the coffers.--Lizardorb 17:24, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

I also think that, given that the quest have now been added, it makes more sense to keep the category than to remove it again. poke | talk 18:53, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
Why not Quests that reward Gold with two subsections: >1k and <1k. I know I'd never have the patience to do that, but it'd avoid conflict. 96.231.226.134 18:57, 30 June 2010 (UTC) PS: <1k not to be confused with rewards 0g.
Alright I concede majority rules, the page stays. However I do recommend that (1) you change the name since rewards platinum sounds awkward and (2) we don't get carried away with making so many categories, it may seem helpful to someone but all the more confusing to another. The Emmisary 20:26, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
I'll change the category name later (also to lower case), by using a bot, so please don't bother with changing all of the articles again. poke | talk 20:35, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
I never changed any article ... The Emmisary 22:25, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
I wasn't referring to your changes, but to the changes that added the pages to the category. poke | talk 22:35, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
